We had been recommended this pub but was not to impressed. The waitress was coughing badly so not really happy with that as not very hygienic. Food not that impressive at all. Filled a gap but that was all. Won't bother again.

visited for lunch with my wife. Outside looked lovely, quaint old Inn.
Opted for ploughmans lunches for both of us, (one cheese, one pate). What a mistake! The food was awful. The chef obviously had no idea how a ploughmans meal should be served or what the plate should contain. Can only imagine he has shares in a lettuce farm!
The staff were dour and unhelpful and to top it all even the beer was poor.
Within an hour of eating my wife had an upset stomach!
You have been warned. We will never set foot on the premises again.

We asked a couple who know the area well and they recommended the King's Arms for our lunch. Service at the bar & by the waiting team was good throughout and we enjoyed the haddock & chips. We would return for another meal if in the area.

Visited Friday 5th July after a walk from Morston Quay. We never seem to want to eat when the blackboard menu is available (12-2pm & 6-9pm). However, the bar menu is always available, & they serve really good haddock & chips & whitebait & everything else on the menu looks good also.
The pub itself is a bit tired in a comfortable sort of way; & the staff are a bit 'way out' but very pleasant. The garden is ok but attracts dog-owners who are not always as solicitous as they could be to non-dog lovers.
It is reasonably priced & a definite one to try.
