“Very welcoming”

We spent one night here and were made very welcome from the minute we arrived. The room was comfortable and warm. We were offered tea when we arrived and even after we had checked out. Good choice of breakfasts too. I would certainly recommend this as a place to stay.

We had a really lovely weekend at Blakeney House. Mike was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome, helping us find our way around the countryside. We had a very pretty room at the top of the house with a sky light through we could watch the sky from our bed. We could just see the sea poking through the trees out our window and it was just a short walk to the shore and the local pubs, which served up great food.
Our room was very comfortable, the room nice and warm, the shower wonderfully hot and the breakfast delicious. The hotel has only recently opened and if this is how well it's run when just starting out, I would definitely recommend Blakeney House once they're settled in properly!

It's not often that I'm motivated to write reviews online, but our stay at Blakeney House was excellent.
The central location is very helpful and parking plentiful in a town where it may otherwise have been a problem.
The house itself was beautiful, with clean well-decorated rooms and very comfortable beds.
Breakfast is well-worth writing a review on it's own, with a a seemingly unlimited supply of options and a well cooked full-English.
The best part however was the owner and his brilliant staff. Nothing seemed to be too-much trouble. From staying-up late for our late arrival, endless requests for advice and directions, cleaning our room early to enable us to get ready for a wedding, to offering torches for a late return.
If only more establishments were as accommodating as this.

A comfortable stay in this very well located guest house with plenty of parking which can be an issue in Blakeney.
The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
This was our first visit and when we arrived we were greeted by Michael the new owner who had only taken over 5 days before. We were very impressed with his plans to improve the accommodation and develop the house which should be said is already at a high standard.
We were in the French room which is very spacious and comfortable with a view over the garden.
We look forward to returning next year to see the progress Michael has been able to make with his plans.

We spent a comfortable and relaxing two nights at Blakeney House in September. It is a lovely old house with plenty of parking which is great in an area where parking can be difficult. It is also situated in a good position to allow you to walk out and explore the village particularly the restaurants and pubs. Our room (7) was comfortable with a lovely view of the garden and the surrounding countryside. One thing to note is that our private, nice clean bathroom was situated across the corridor from our room, although this wasn't a problem for just a couple of nights. You are able to order the cooked breakfast as and how you like it and it is good and 'hearty'. The owner and staff are welcoming and very friendly without being intrusive allowing you to relax and come and go as you please.

Peaceful location just off the high street with plenty of parking. The property is just under new ownership and without doubt is in need of some TLC but having chatted to the new owner about his plans, I think that the future looks very positive! The welcome and staff were very friendly - we were treated to a pot of tea and biscuits in our room on arrival! The breakfast service was efficient and friendly with ample portions and fresh, well cooked food. I have a personal hatred of helping myself to coffee from a communal pot but the coffee itself was good! Our room was the French Room, number 2 which overlooks the front gardens. Spacious, pretty room but the bathroom could do with upgrading. I plan to go back in 12 months and see what changes they have made!

Room Tip: Room 2 has a nice outlook, plenty of space and is very pretty. The bathroom needs some work but is p...

Blakeney House guest house is an excellent place to stay in this picturesque little village. Set in its own grounds it is a peaceful haven from the tourist hustle and bustle and offers parking which is at a premium elsewhere. Good restaurants are within very easy walking distance as is the Norfolk coastal path.

We were made to feel very welcome and a house key gave us free access at any time. Our room, (room one), is large, bright, comfortable and was very clean. It has a spacious sitting area close to the TV, and a huge, comfortable double bed, (the twin beds zipped together). The shower room provided everything we required - constant hot water in a good shower and plenty soft, clean towels. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and is substantial if that is what you want. The perfect poached egg test was passed with flying colours. I also really appreciated the fresh fruit salad. Service was very efficient and friendly.

The new owners are planning to refurbish what is already a lovely guest house. We look forward to seeing these changes on a future visit.
