“wonderful relaxing break”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

We have visited David and his staff at Blakeney House 5 times and are ready to go for the 6th time. Its the perfect place to unwind and relax in this quiet village, The rooms at Blakeney House are beautifully furnished and immaculate, the staff friendly and attentive, David a wonderful host. A short walk from Blakeney harbour and several lovely places to eat in the evening without taking the car out. Fresh air and the best Moreston mussels await, after fitting in one of the scrumptious Blakeney House breakfasts.

Room Tip: All rooms beautifully furnished and larger than average, The french room and the Colonial rooms are...

We have stayed in several different rooms in the B$B and all have been excellent. Our original visit was just the 2 of us (middle aged interested in birds and walking) quite a few years ago now, but now we also take our 8 year old grand daughter, who absolutely loves the accomadation and the area. She is always made to feel welcome and special. The breakfast is delicious and the service friendly and welcoming.
The seating areas in the rooms mean that they are comfartable to relax in between walking expeditions or before bed.
We have never had any trouble with the wifi or mobiles but realise that the quality of signal in rural areas may not be predictable.
As already pointed out the parking is perfect, off road, private and spacious.
If I need any advice about whats on i ask David who is a mine of information.
I cannot recommend it highly enough, I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Norfolk.

No need to look any further than Blakeney House if u are visiting North Norfolk and don't fancy self-catering. As always, a warm welcome, comfortable room, clean, cosy. The breakfast was excellent as usual.

Ate at the Wiverton Bell for the first time in all our visits. Perfect food, great service. Book in advance to be sure of a table.

Room Tip: Room 1 for twin beds

The "Blakeney House" Guest House in Blakeney between Burnham Market and Cromer on the now-fashionable North Norfolk coast is a high-quality pleasant and convenient place to stay. Easy car access (after you've negotiated the charming narrow streets of Blakeney, a former fishing village which is worth a visit anyway) and good onsite parking.
Welcoming warm and well-furnished, our rooms were in the main house overlooking the lawn and gardens.
TV and DVD, efficient wifi, nicely laid out small ensuite bathroom (with good showerstall but not bathtub in the rooms I saw) and kettle with hot drinks for convenience in the room.
First-class breakfasts with everything you could want.
Helpful and efficient staff.
It is a high-class B+B Guest House which I thoroughly recommend.
Nice pubs in the village too, and interesting walks along the shore.

We visited in sept this year for 3 nights and stayed in the french room which was lovely. It had a romantic feel to it. 2/3 years ago we had the colonial room, slightly smaller but still looking over the front gardens. Room very clean and the hospitality tray always fully stocked. Pleasure to have both a bath and shower. The breakfasts were of high standard and you could have a choice. The owner and his staff were very helpful in all aspects. We were here to visit the Forties weekend at Sheringham and we left the car behind and took the Coasthopper bus which picked up just a 5mins walk from Blakeney House. Good idea as Sheringham very busy!! We love the north norfolk coast and yes, Blakeney as narrow roads but thats the charm of this area. If its a relaxing and romantic break you are after, then Blakeney House, especially the two rooms mentioned, are indeed the place to be and we shall be back again.

Super breakfast, with a varuety of choice. Very helpful and accommodating staff. The car parking is easy. Within walking distance of The White Horse restaurant for a decent dinner. Also, very positive response when we enquired about bringing our daugter in the future. We'll be back.
