We where a family of 8 staying for 3 happy nights.
We enjoyed the hotel, the rooms where comfortable with the exception of a mattress on the
floor for the 10 year olds extra bed . The food was good but the service at breakfast was abysmal. There was no greeting at the door, staff just walked by and ignored you. I had to wait 30mins for coffee one morning. Every morning they did not bring the milk with the coffee .food was not hot. We had to scavenge from other tables for every thing we wanted as there was no staff around. If they can get this right we will be back as it is a great location for a family

I haven't stayed here for 2 years so was interested to see if it had changed. Apart from the refurb which is okay if rather bland in my opinion and wi-fi now being available in the bedroom, all was the same. A lovely little retreat.
The only criticism I can level is that the service in the restaurant is not what it was. There seemed to be a lack of management there which resulted in waiting too long for the orders to be taken, some tepid food and some poor attention to customer requests.( It ran like a newly oiled machine before)
Other than that, the pool / sauna / gymn area is great and the general atmosphere and ambience is very pleasant.

This hotel is in a lovely position and recent refurbishment is a stylish boutique look, however please complete the restaurant and bar, as customers we are paying a lot for our meals and these areas of the hotel are not up to the standard expected. The food was very good, with friendly service, but the sweets were disappointing. Our room was very nice however the extra bed put in for our son was really not very good, practically a mattress on the floor! If the overall decor is completed and the service refined this will be an even better hotel.

We stayed here after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. It didn't let us down and we were impressed from the outset. They were warm and friendly on arrival, the pool was lovely, they couldn't have been more helpful and kid friendly. The food was very pleasant and our children loved the sweet trolley - so excited! The jacuzzi could have been a tad hotter, but apart from that the facilities were great. We'd hoped to go crabbing, but it was so cold and think the crabs had left for warmer climes... We visited Holt and Burnham Market, so enough to keep us busy and we thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay. We were going to take the dog too, which they were fine about, but in the end we didn't - although the local walks would have been super. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: I think there are more modern ones to the front of the hotel, were at the back and little more classic, but still very clean and comfortable.
