This is a great trip for the price - £10 each. On busy days it is best to phone beforehand and pre-book, but you still pay on the day. It is a small boat so everyone gets a view. The skipper turns the boat round several times around the seals in order for each side of the boat to get close. The seals are clearly used to visitors and will bob around the boat as well as lie on the beach. This is a trip for young and old alike - although very little ones wouldn't get much out of the trip.

One of those attractions we never did get to do until last week. Walking the coast path we arrived at Morston just in time to secure seats on the trip. It is part of Norfolk that can only be visited by sea, except a very long walk round, and beware of the tides. The captain was excellent, easy to talk to, a local with a wealth of information. We landed and had a walk on the point and visited the information centre.
For those thinking of taking the trip, it only goes twice a day on the tides and not all trips land. On a good day ( even a bad one), the point is special, a trip back in time. Trips are between and hour and a hour and a half.
You may only do it once, but do it.

Third time I have been with Beans Boat Trips. They are always excellent - really friendly crew, great sense of humour and really knowledgeable about the area. I am guessing the people that take you out are locals as they really know their stuff about the seals and the birds (if it is the nesting time of year). I think you need to book in advance (I always have) but they do also have an office in Morston itself.

Have been to Blakeney numerous times but this is the first seal trip I've been on and it was simply amazing! The seals and the birds were just fab and I thought the crew on the Bean's boat were really excellent. Don't miss it!

excellent company one of about three but this one seemed a little more acommodating. if there are two trips or more you can get off at Blakeney point and stay there to do a bit of birdwatching etc and then get picked up by the next boat later. iou may meet the poor NT volunteers that are stranded here for most of the summer! Though they dont see it that way.......
