Living locally we visit massimos regularly for the happy hour menu which is excellent value. The food is always very tasty and the atmosphere is lovely. Unfortunately I was very disappointed after my last visit. The service we received was very average. Waited for menus, was not offered pepper or Parmesan (whilst those around us were) and eventually had to stand up and ask to pay as no one came back to our table. Hopefully this was a one off, we will return and give it another chance as normally the staff are really attentive.

Superb sea view room , combined with great service , make this an excellent location. The room was fantastic with great attention to detail. A fine breakfast, it's a pity we didn't manage to have an evening meal here , because I'm sure it would have been top class! Will definitely be back.

We decided to be a bit spontaneous on a Friday night and we weren't disappointed. We made it in time for their early evening special and the place was busy with diners taking advantage of the cheaper menu. The staff are attentive and the food was delicious. We will definite be going back again.

After visiting Massimo's restaurant on several occasions and been impressed by their delicious quality food and service, I decided I would try their new bistro which has recently opened on the ground floor. I was not disappointed! The menu is varied and offers authentic Italian food at very competitive prices. The Risotto with Prawn & Asparagus is by far the best I have tasted and the Raspberry & Mascarpone Cheesecake is to die for.
Tasteful deco, which includes real Olive trees, friendly and efficient service and an eclectic mix of Italian music makes Massimo's a true jewel in Seaham's crown. If you are looking for quality mediterranean food, cooked and served by a team passionate about what they do, then Massimo's is a MUST. I will definately be returning.
