I'm one of the area locals who has been to Parkview Pizza quite a few times since they opened several years ago. Pizza there is good, but not exceptional. It will be sliced into about 2x2" squares instead of the usual round pie shaped slices and no other configuration of mixed toppings are allowed than half and half -- no deviation allowed (customer does not come first -- I wanted 2/3 with one topping and 1/3 with another -- no can do!). Service is fine, but expect to wait awhile for your food even when a minimal number of customers are present.
Lately, Parkview has seemed to concentrate more on sports TV and beer selling, but still is an OK place to take a family, but I have never seen kids eating there. The atmosphere tends to get a little noisy sometimes.
They offer a variety of non-pizza items on their menu and I once tried a tamale which I did not like. Their burgers are OK, but nothing exceptional.
The restaurant is one or two blocks off the main thoroughfare, probably a disadvantage to them for non-locals.
If the owner could survive without promoting beer so much, speed up the serving of food after ordering, and try to accommodate customer's wishes, he'd probably have the best restaurant in this small town.
