“an easy access delightful situation”
Reviewed July 21, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Situated 4 mins drive from picturesque Kirby Lonsdale, Top Meadow is one of a small, tasteful enclave of holiday properties. It is in the grounds of Whoop Hall Inn on the A65, yet peaceful and beautiful with views out over meadow and pasture land. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable with lovely big windows.
The house has everything that might be needed. The beds are comfortable and comfortable bedding, with adequate clothing spaces. Showers work really well. It was a bit tricky getting control of the heating, but it can be done and is more than cosy. The lounge area has an attractive electric flame effect stove - so easy to have comfort and some warmth at the flick of a switch.
Kitchen is well equipped and attractive to use, with french doors to the patio with good seating - so having a meal outdoors is easy.
There is a great utility cupboard with washing machine and separate dryer - very good, and space for boots and gear etc.
Hirers have free access to the Whoop Hall swimming poll and gym.

“Top Meadow tops it all!”
Reviewed July 9, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We are just back from a fabulous weekend at Top Meadow and are enchanted with our stay. We were looking for a bit of luxury because we took my 86 year-old mother in law with us. The pictures don't really do the house justice. As soon as we walked in, we were blown away by the stylish decor of the bedrooms, The great dining kitchen and the cosy lounge. The layout of the house is great. It is definitely a place to share with friends or family and to create long-lasting memories. I wish we had stayed longer to have had the opportunity to have an apperitif drink on the pretty balcony. We did manage to have breakfast on the patio and enjoy all the wildlife including hedgehogs, rabbits and house Martins, as well as the playful lambs and cows. We enjoyed doing a few lengths in the pool with our daughter and made the most of the sauna, jacuzzi and steam room in the health club. We used the house as a base to explore the lake district and managed to see Lake Coniston, Beatrix Potter's Hill top cottage, Grasmere and even Ambleside, all in one day. We enjoyed the comfort of the house after an exciting but tiring touring day. The house was kitted with everything you can think of (children's books, games, sewing kit, medical box, house magazines, novels, Netflix, Sky) and the kitchen had everything a French cook needed. Thank you Angela for the wine and chocolates. We took care to leave your house as clean and tidy as we could, as your house oozes charm and warmth. We hope to come back soon and will certainly recommend it to friends, colleagues and family.
