This was an interesting room overlooking all the activity along the High Street. The room could be even more impressive with a bit of freshening up. We only had light lunches but they were delicious and promptly served. The bread came in a bowler hat! Nice background music but it wasn't good to see the waitress at the bar scrolling through her iPhone and also eating. So, a few small adjustments would make this a very good place in which to eat. It's a pity that you could miss this restaurant and walk past it, as the entrance isn't obvious from the street, but I'm not sure how you would solve this problem.

“Perfect lunch!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2014 via mobile

We went here as part of a girls weekend today for lunch. The food and service were both great. I have been here before and would definitely recommend. Also bought some food from their deli, so looking forward to trying that!

“The room itself is the best bit”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2014 via mobile

We stopped in Marlow for lunch and found this place. The room is very grand and airy which was lovely. The food was average at best. My husbands fish and chips was soggy and my tuna Niçoise salad was made with tuna mayo! The fish cake was apparently nice though. Over priced for the food itself.

“JUST AS GOOD AS BEFORE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 24, 2013 via mobile

Sunday lunch for the second time this year (we live 2 hours away & only come to Marlow to see family).

Just as we remembered .... extremely good value three courses. Given its name it wasn't surprising that the ceiling was very high which meant it's a little difficult to make cosy. However get stuck into the food and nothing else matters!

Salmon starter, roast beef (real off the joint kind) and high quality stilton to finish.

Perfect!

“Reasonable lunch venue”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2013 via mobile

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday. Pleasant airy room above a cooking gadget shop. A couple more pictures needed to cover a few tatty bits on the walls.
Pleasant waitress worked hard to cover the tables as it got busier.
The eggs benedict were excellent - better than Fego's apparently. Little chap loved his club sandwich and fries. My English breakfast was fine although the bacon was slightly undercooked. Excellent coffee.
A couple of small areas to improve and then this place could be very good indeed.
