Popped in for an quiet evening pint - they seem to be a Brakspears house - with bitter, Oxford Gold and a couple of other ales on tap (one form Wychwood). The barman was friendly and welcoming and the two pints of Oxford Gold were well kept and excellent. Highly recommended if you fancy a change from drinking Rebellion beer in Marlow!

This is quite possibly the best steak restaurant around. Our steaks were perfect, so tender and tasty. You pick which steak you want from a great selection and they cook it to order. Puddings are superb (if you have room!) - the banoffee pie is mouthwatering! Added to the good food, the staff are friendly and helpful but not overbearing.

Went for dinner last night (a Tuesday eve), so was pretty quiet, but still had a nice, relaxed atmosphere and nice crowd in the dining area.
Service was excellent, friendly, attentive and helpful in helping us decide what to choose.
Value for money was excellent too - especially compared to The Marlow Bar & Grill opposite.
Husband's main meal was really good, mine was ok, quite good, but the banoffee pie for pudding was one of the best things i've ever eaten. Worth the years worth of calorie intake!
Loved it... go to the restaurant there, it's great and nice crowd too.

If you are staying in or near Marlow and you like steak, you must book The Chequers for dinner. You get to pick the size you want as it is cut to order

The steak was superb, it was tender and perfectly cooked and because I'd picked it a good size! If you don't want steak, the pie was very tasty and a good size. There is also a good selection of puddings.
