We have eaten here off and on for some 25 years and can honestly say that the place has always ranged between very good and excellent.
On this occasion it was for a fixed price lunch, prior to going on holiday in the very early hours of the next day.Even when quiet, the place still retains a decent atmosphere and I cannot conceive of anyone having a bad meal here.
For us,pasta to start - the portion almost main course size, followed by halibut, for which we paid extra,as it was not on the set menu.A good portion, nicely cooked and even though just a tad short on flavour, still very good value.
Good service and good value makes it an excellent lunchtime venue.
