The room was clean and well appointed. The view from it was beautiful with the ocean stretching as far as the eye could see. The hotel was accessible by train with an easy walk from the station. The staff was very efficient and welcoming. They were very helpful with directions and ways to manage transport.
The hotel has a culinary school within it and we made the most of the meals that were offered at lunch time. The service was superb and the food delicious.

Room tip: Ask for a room that looks out on the ocean.

I needed to spend some time with my daughter lazing by a pool and close to a beach and in Catalunya....firstly St Pol is exquisitely unspoiled by the ravages of the tourist trade. It is deepest Catalunya and if that offends it is not for you. We were lucky to be there during Festa Major and the fireworks display which lights up the hermitage of St Pol behind the hotel was a feast to behold. The hotel provides a very nice base to either chill and nip in and out of the village but also to explore the maresme coast or inland over the hills to St Celoni and Montseny.
This is a hotel school and you will encounter the trainees who were all professional and attentive. The restaurant is not cheap but has a good reputation. We were on the third floor with spectacular views...slight problem with a snoring neighbour but not much could be done about him.
The hotel is older, maybe slightly tired but very clean. No issues with breakfast as there was plenty to choose from. The pool was not over crowded and there were no out of control children.
The price for two adults sharing including breakfast was cheaper than anywhere else close by and the parking was free.
Can't wait to come back.

Room tip: Go for third floor every time!

Ok. its not luxury, but very clean rooms, friendly staff, convenient to get to, amazing view and good value for money in a cute seaside town with a very clean beach. Not much to do in the town but relax on the beach but that was exactly what we wanted. The highlight was the 4 course 20 euro dinner. The food was really good, and amazing value, puts a lot of more expensive restaurants to shame

Our room was basic but certainly served us well for our 3day visit to the NE coast of Spain that allowed us to spend the part of the days in Barcelona and then return to the hotel to sun on the beach or relax by the pool. The breakfasts were very good European buffet style.

Room tip: Rooms either side of the stairs and elevators have extra large balconies

Lovely hotel with good views. Service excellent and breakfast good but we didn't enjoy dinner and only ate there once. They tried too hard to be innovative with disappointing results. Keep it simple and you wont go wrong as all the ingredients are there. The village itself is exquisite.
