We had dinner there and ordered two menus (you pay aside for the drinks).
The food was delicious: we tried the rabbit, the rice with vegetables, a veggies cream-soup, the typical patatas arrugadas and then some local sweets.
The decoration was cute and the service was very attentive and kind: for instance, when we couldn't finish the potatoes and asked for a doggy bag (in such a fancy place!), they gave it to with us no problem.
The bad part was the price, but the exclusivity of the place and the chance of eating at the same hotel where we were staying could justify it.

Thank Bri P

I stayed for 20 days in a row in the Parador Hotel and enjoyed the food in the restaurant three times a day during this period. So I was a bit surprised to read the two existing reviews to say the least! The male staff is very friendly and is all smiles all day! They adjust the menu to your preferences and make you feel at home during your stay. I can understand that previous visitors had some issues with one of the ladies in the restaurant. The food was really good! Personally I recommend the 'Solomillo' (Steak) Salmon and the Pumpkin soup or mixed salad as a starter. I'll certainly come back at both hotel and restaurant!

This is a review of the hotel's restaurant, rather than the hotel.

We asked during the afternoon whether it would be possible to eat there in the evening, as we were attending an astronomy event at the Parque, and were told no problem, it would be open until ten pm. Great, we said, despite the guidebooks' warnings of high menu prices; it was a special event - a birthday, in fact - and we were looking forward to celebrating it in style.

When we returned to the restaurant a couple of hours later, however, the maitre d' turned us away. Apparently they were full. He went so far as to suggest that we should phone some weeks in advance if we wished to eat there. The fact that only three tables were in use was obviously irrelevant...

So we explained the problem at reception and asked in our best Spanish whether there was anything we could do. Could we perhaps eat at the (empty) bar? The receptionist went off to check and returned to tell us that no, that was full too. No, they couldn't even do a sandwich. They were full. We should've reserved.

When I get access to wifi next, I might add some pictures of the 'full' restaurant with its massed ranks of forlorn and empty tables.

As we sat at the empty bar, we realised that three people at the next table were in the same position as us. "I can't believe they won't even sell us a sandwich," said one woman. Quite.

So I'm sorry, but from this point on I'll be avoiding Parador. There'd be no point. I'll just take it for granted that they're full.
