Been to the Bahia Principe Tenerife (the Adeje is across the road and you can use the facilities in both hotels) twice now, looking forward to the 3rd time!
This holiday is fantastic if you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday or have young kids. The restaurants are all lovely the main one is the buffet restaurant which always has a good variety of foods even for a fussy eater like me they always have selection of meats which are cooked in front of you - every night has a theme some of the nights are better than others but it depends on the kinds of food you like. There are also 4 other restaurants which you book in the morning at the reception area (you get 3 visits per week) The Asian, Italian and Mexican are all excellent and well worth a visit. The hotel and pool areas are spotless with people constantly cleaning, emptying bins, etc. We have always found all the staff and animation team lovely, very helpful and very friendly always chatting and carrying on with my son. We emailed the hotel the week before we stayed the second time and asked for a particular room which we were given on arrival. They also were happy to provide us with another room to use on our last day as we hadn't paid for the late check out. There is a shop in the hotel and there is also a few other shops and a payable sports bar and a karaoke bar down in the square in costa adeje hotel. The only thing that lets this fantastic hotel down is the entertainment which for the quality of the hotel is pretty poor but it doesn't bother us we were more than happy to chat with other families we had met while our son played on the bouncy castle (€2 per night) or in the games rooms. There are drink stations in the bars which allow you to help yourself (including wine, spirits, beer, cava and cocktails) which mean no waiting for drink and even if you prefer to go the the bar we have never seen a queue. There are no limits on how many drinks you can get at once either so you can get as many as you want to save yourself from having to keep going over which is useful when you are sitting outside in the entertainment area.

My husband, 10yr old son and I will be returning to the Bahia principe hotel on the 19/7/2012 for our fifth visit, however this time we are staying at the Bahia Principe Tenerife for a change. The hotel has always been heaven to stay and such a rest. All aspects of the hotel are to a good standard albeit I think the hotel is now in need of refurbish. Our 10yr old as always got plenty to do through the day and on an evening, whether around the pools with the animation team or in the square on an evening with the shows and bouncy castle or even playing games on in the computer room. He loves the fact the he can order himself a childrens 'San Francisco' coctail or slush and I can rest knowing he's in a safe place. The staff are lovely and helpful and reception organised.
The food is very good with plenty of choice. I personally love both the Mexican and Itallian al a carte restaurants. Also, last year at the snack bar they were serving rotisserie chicken with fresh salad, which was enjoyed round the pool instead of going to lunch.

I have never seen any trouble or drunk people at either complexes.

The only changes I've seen at the hotel since 2005 are that you used to be able to serve yourself slush and now it's served to you and there used to be a beach bar serving cold drinks on the shingle beach which was a nice touch but sadly no longer available. However this doesn't dismay us or hinder our stay.

Can't wait to return, looking forward to a lovely rest and those irish coffees in the lounge on an evening....

My family and I spent a week at the Bahia Principe in April 2012. The hotel was fantastic! Very vast with beautiful swimming pool areas, we never struggled to get a sun lounger regardless of the time of day. The hotel's bars and restaurants were top class, the quality of food and selection of drinks was brilliant. We visited 3 of the 5 al a carte restaurants, Italian, Oriental and Mexican the food was beautiful and the service was 5*. The hotel rooms were cleaned daily by friendly cleaning staff who made a lot of effort, and always made animals out of the clean towels. I celebrated my birthday whilst staying at the Bahia Principe, the cleaners decorated my room with flowers and towel animals and even sent me a birthday card. The nearby beach was made of large volcanic boulders and pebbles, so not much room for sunbathing, however we found that the cove was an excellent spot for snorkelling. We saw many types of fish that were all very beautiful and didn't seem to mind us being very close to them. Overall this was a fantastic holiday for all age groups. Highly recommended.

My wife and I just returned from 7 days in Bahia Principe Tenerife hotel complex,
Food and drink were exceptional with many choices and perfect cooking at every meal.
The entertainment however left a lot to be desired - holiday advert clined that competitions and quizzes were plentiful - not at all onm our holiday.
Room service was at best - poor - on two occasions having to contact reception in order to have room serviced.
On arrival in early hours of 8 May - we were taken to wrong hotel - without a Thomas Cook Rep in sight!!!!
Yet again on departure the Holiday Rep was noticeable by her absence.
Not a good advert for Thomas Cook

Just returned from 1 week holiday at this hotel with my family, ages ranging from 5yrs - 70yrs.
I can't praise this hotel highly enough the food, the cleanliness the entertainment everything was top notch. The sister hotel next door was top notch as well.

I would advice anyone with mobility problems to stay at the Bahia Principe(Teneriffe) and not the Bahia Principe (Adeje ) as the grounds and pool area are on a more of a level.

We enjoyed it so much that we hope to return again next year.

This hotel is situated on the outskirts of the small resort of PLaya Parisio, but if you want to go into Playa las Americas, there is a courtesy bus from the hotel daily.

Room Tip: All the rooms overlook the pool area , we stayed in block 13-14 and had a lovely sea view as well

I stayed at this hotel for a week in early May 2012 with my wife and our 3 year old daughter and 6 month old son.
The hotel is a little bit isolated but there is plenty to do and the hotel entertainment staff are on hand to organising activities, but not too pushy should you not wish to participate.
The Hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are all very friendly and helpful.
The food and drink are by far the best I have ever had in an all inclusive, the food is plentiful and a fantastic choice for adults, children and vegetarians. I also noticed gluten free bread and diabetic chocolate was on offer!
Add to this that there is a choice of 4 on site restaurants, Asian, Italian, Spanish and Mexican you can use. These get booked up quite quickly so I would advice to book as soon as you can.
We tried both the Italian and Mexican which were both great, however the buffet selection was better than the main meal!
There are the usual snacks available through out the day burgers, hot dogs, pizza, crisps etc.
The booze is also plentiful and a great choice of spirits and cocktails. you have the choice of waiter service, going to the bar or self service which is something I have never experienced before and though was a great idea. There are several tables in the bar area with wine and spirits on and coolers with ready made cocktails and sangria in! Also during the day you can help yourself to San Miguel on draught!!!
The entertainment is mainly in the square, their is a kids mini disco followed by a show, the only down side is its over by 10.30ish. There was also a 2 piece band in the down stairs bar most nights.
All in all a great hotel at a fair price, will defo be going back!

Room Tip: Try to book the Mini Suite facing the Sea!
