It’s an amazing hotel. Comfortable room and great facilities. Breakfast was lavish and lots of food choices. Live music was played in lobby every night while we were there during Christmas week for two hours between 9 pm to 11 pm. Big fan of hard rock and this hotel didn’t disappoint with its ambience, decor and music. The staff is also great. Served with a smile despite being busy over Christmas. We will definitely book again.

Room tip: Ask for room on higher floors

We had a wonderful 8 nights at Hard Rock Tenerife over the Christmas holidays. Right from check in thru to our last day, all the staff were amazing. You know how you always get 1 or 2 staff members who just don't want to be there?? Never saw a single one here. Each staff member we interacted with was cheerful, polite and very happy to help. From Noe at the poolside restaurant, to Lina at the Rock Royalty level, Isabelle at Ali Ole, and many more, they all helped make our family holiday a great one.
In addition the rooms were spotless and spacious, the Rock Royalty lounge welcoming and a great way to relax, the pools and surrounds clean and well staffed, the poolside entertainment excellent, the music and DJs rockin', and the G&Ts nice and strong!
We had such a great holiday that our 9yo daughter declared it "the best holiday ever!".
Thanks so much to all the team who helped make it so enjoyable!

We are still in the hotel, stay here for 8 nights. Originally booked Studio suite but decided to upgraded to Rock Suite Platinum on arrival because we have 2 children.
The overall facility is as you will expect from 5 stars hotel. Staffs and service is good in general. Few main things I'll deduct the points from are
1. Housekeeping is not very "clean" we got our room done and turn down every day but they never replace the amenities in the toilets (only replace the shower gel and shampoo but not shower caps and vanity set etc.) also eventhough the bed were done the room was tidy up, the floor wasn't very clean. Its very clear they do it in a rush. Only after day 4 that I notice the "mysterious stain" on the head board over my bed side table....dont want to know ehat it is at all at this point.

2. Rarely that they pick up the phone when you call reception.

3. In room facilities for the upper room like ours such as the Xbox game, TV doesnt work!!!
We went to get the game and consoles this morning just to find out that it didnt work! There're only 3 boxes of game at the counter, which only one of them has a CD in it. And the CD was the wrong game...so in short we could not use it. Called them they said they'll sent the tech guy up about 4 hours ago, still no sigh. We gave up and tried to connect our harddrive to the TV...again doesn't work!!!
I expect a little bit more from €300 a night.

4. I know it's the nature of the hardrock that there'll be music everywhere and we really enjoy their music during the day. No one ever mentioned that if you pay extra to have a seaview room with balcony you have to put up with extreamly loud music every night until 11-12pm!!!
Theydid gave us 1 pair of ear plugs on the 2nd night and another pairs on the 5th night...strange.

All in all if you are a couple who enjoy nightlife and music and dont mind normal delux room, I do recommend this place. If you are family want a bigger room with the view please prepare for the noises and check that everything works when you check in.

The resort is great but has its flaws. The rooms don't have microwaves and the staff won't reheat food so leftovers are not existent. The pools close at 6pm so if you plan an all day excursion, don't plan on relaxing pool side after. The hotel is not near a lot of the excursions. I would plan which day trips you would like to fo before booking, making sure hotel pick up and drop off is available for the Hard Rock. Lastly, there's not a night life at the resort so if you want to party/club/drink, you need to find somewhere off of the location to do so.

We stayed at the HRH Tenerife from 15-22nd December half board.

First impressions of the hotel were fantastic, staff are very welcoming and helpful and you were truly made to feel special. We checked in with ease and were offered help with our bags which we politely declined.

The room we had (gold room) was great, very clean and modern with nice amenities.

The Sessions buffet we tried the first evening, the food was great, it’s a high quality buffet and I can’t fault it, stone baked pizzas , different meats etc, there truly is something for everyone

However the buffet restaurant is nowhere near the quality you are used to throughout the hotel, it’s literally a canteen, very busy and very loud. Not much of a personal service and you are sat close to numerous other tables. The atmosphere not so much for me.

Breakfast was fantastic and was the same standard everyday. Sausages, bacon , hash browns, waffles , pancakes and... chicken kebab?!!? The list goes on and on.

However if you sit outside they have a performer on as you eat breakfast (guitar/pianist) etc. Which play music so loud you cannot even have a conversation which is ridiculous at 9am. I know it’s the hard rock hotel but come on.

We decided to eat at the al a carte restaurants every other night as if you are half board you get a €30pp contribution to your meal. I’ll be honest the restaurants are outrageously overpriced (€29 for a New York strip steak) you catch my drift.. however the food in all of them was lovely. Our favourite was the Japanese, the tepanyaki show is a must. On average we spent around an extra €20 a night between us to eat at the 3 restaurants, but it was worth it.

The only negatives about the restaurant is they charge you a €4 cover charge for as the waiter described to me “the use of cutlery” which made absolute no sense considering without cutlery we wouldn’t be able to eat the food? The other negative was they charge €4.5 for a bottle of water, you cannot get tap water as they cannot serve that. Which is ludicrous as over the road you can get a 2L bottle of water for €1.. I imagine they need to re-evaluate there pricing.

Cocktails are expensive but nice.. €12 for a cocktail on the roof deck, funnily enough in the lobby bar the same cocktail was €9 so I don’t quite understand that.

The most annoying thing by far was the tipping culture, every time a member of staff did something for you they expected a tip. Latte at breakfast “will you be tipping” I constantly felt pressured to tip which was dissapointing.

It was very quiet when we went so service was grade A, however on our final days it started to get busy and the rudeness of some waiters was ridiculous. Small cracks appeared when there was non before. We went for steak at the Montuak steak house and the waiter was so rude, we tipped him and he just went “ok” and walked off .. no thankyou, no goodbye.. etc.

We also tipped the waiter in the Ale Oli restaurant and I caught him in the mirror shaking his head as he got back to the till which was very annoying.

Overall a great hotel, that could be amazing. It really isn’t far off.
