We recently celebrated my daughter's wedding reception at this hotel and therefore my wife and I and most of the wedding guests stayed over at the hotel for three nights.

The wedding reception was held in one of the hotel's salons and it was beautifully decorated for the occasion. The menu for the celebration was put together between ourselves and the hotel's catering staff and on the day, the quality of it as well as the level of service received exceeded our expectations. Our heartfelt thanks to Domingo and his staff for making this a truly memorable occasion.

The hotel and its grounds are immaculately kept and despite being beside a busy road, it is an oasis of tranquility. Being May, the hotel gardens were in full bloom and were simply stunning. The hotel pool was now open and we made use of it during our stay.

We stayed in room 126 which is one of the superior rooms located on the hotel's top floor. The room was large, with a lot of natural light and airy. The bed was very large and extremely comfortable. The room contained a flat screen tv, mini fridge and air conditioning. The bathroom was large with a normal sized bath and all the usual toiletries. Both rooms were very clean and well maintained

We also had a decent sized balcony with breathtaking views across the Straits of Gibraltar. It was very relaxing to sit in the balcony in the early morning or evening enjoying the views and listening to the sounds of birds singing and the gurgling of a stream that went past the hotel.

Breakfast was buffet style but again of a very high standard. We also made use of the hotel's restaurant for dinner during the remainder of our stay and the choice of food offered on the menu and its quality was excellent.

All throughout our stay, the level of service given by the hotel staff was excellent. They were extremely friendly and they made every effort to ensure that we and the wedding party enjoyed our stay with them.

We can't thank them enough for their service and friendliness.

We will most definitely return to this hotel.

Superbly located for birdwatching along the Straits, it sits approx' midway between the two 'Migration Foundation' observation points, that are both a 10 minute drive away, at the Eastern and Western end of the Straits.

Rooms are clean, comfortable and reasonable prices, the restaurant a relaxed, well arranged place, to relax and choose from a 'something for everyone' good menu.

With a helpful reception, al fresco terrace (bar & dining) option, and lush gardens, this is a very easy to recommend establishment.

Adjacent to a service station (diesel/petrol) It is all the more convenient, if you are driving !

Not the best place for breakfast but lunch is good it's a bit expensive but the service is great and the restaurant is nice but the location is hard to park and difficult to get out when there is a lot of speeding traffic going past

Meson de Sancho is a lovely hotel built in 1954. It is located on 2 sides of busy N340 at mile marker 94Km. The hotel provides an underground cross walk to manage a safe crossing. If stairs are problematic for you, request a room on the same side of the street as the hotel front desk and restaurant to avoid the stairs. We stayed at this hotel before and after a weekend trip to Morocco. The hotel allowed us to store luggage and leave a motorcycle at their property (8Euros per day while we were in Morocco). Otherwise, parking is available free of charge. The restaurant serves a nice breakfast buffet, and wide variety menu for lunch and dinner. Excellent staff.

Wow, what a great find. Stayed here for 2 nights. The room was fantastic and so was the scenery. The restaurant food was great and reasonably priced. Having the pool outside the room was an added bonus. The staff were very helpful. Great location!!
