Not quite on the beach - but the views from the mountainside down to the coast were beautiful. Set in the midst of a national park, we stayed in the smaller of the 2 houses - the Boston beach house - having found it via Trip Advisor.

The house itself is open plan - a beautiful, airy retreat which is exceptionally well stocked to enable self catering and completely relaxing. Close to the Hurricane hotel for breakfast and morning yoga, excellent kite surfing and coast walking on the door step. The most amazing night sky with many a night spent barbecuing on the terrace looking out on the twinkling lights of Morocco just across the straits - a real find!

This is our second visit to Boston Beach house. The location, design, ambience remain fantastic but my comment would be that shabby chic is delightful but faulty sun beds and a knackered BBQ are just that!!

We stayed at El Concho with our twin girls of 9 and 17 year old son. All five us had a really lovely relaxing time and loved the position - surrounded by nature, cliffs, eucalyptus trees, with beautiful sea views with Tangiers twinkling in the distance at night. El Concho is very simple it's design and amenities - but it has everything you need. Great beaches - especially if you like kite surfing. Good food in Tarriffa which is great to wonder round. Excellent beach bars too. Lots to see in the surrounding area if you fancy some culture or day trips.

Beautiful simple open plan house-perfect for a couple.Fantastic location with views across to Morocco. Was a good 15 minute walk downhill and across the main road to beach, not a problem for us but may be for others.Very light and airy and quickly cooled down once the doors were opened and the constant breeze in this area flowed through. This is a wonderful area of Spain, with beautiful beaches, countryside and interesting towns and villages.A perfect escape destination.

This is one of the most wonderful places I've ever stayed. It's so romantic my boyfriend decided to pop the question and we got engaged at El Cancho, with the stunning backdrop of the Med and Morocco. It's beautiful, tranquil and relaxing. It's hard to find anywhere like this to go on holiday anymore. Its simplicity is so appealing. You feel like you've escaped all the entrapments of modern life, although it's very easy to pop into Tarifa if you want some livliness in the evening. The beach goes on for miles and there are plenty of places to visit nearby. But it's also tempting to hibernate at El Cancho, sip cava and enjoy this peaceful oasis.
