Just got back from one week break at Las Rosas: great place to stay. Lovely clean accommodation and pool, and very helpful staff. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing break. It is quite a hike from Nerja Old Town - we like walking and it took us about 20 minutes but understand there is a regular bus into the town centre. Loved the beach to the left of Le Balcon de Europe. For a fabulous meal, try the Maria Bonita grill on your right as you go down the steep road on the approach to Burriana Beach (known locally as "cardiac hill" - you will find out why!!): It's a very steep return journey but good for walking off dinner.

Room Tip: Our room was B12 I think - ground floor facing the pool in Las Rosas II (the apartments on the right...

We arrived around 1 o'clock in the morning and had to pick our keys up from the hotel opposit, this was the only downside to the holiday as we were not aware of this and walked around for a while before we found a note on the reception door telling us were to pick the keys up. The rest of the holiday was perfect, The beach is a short 10 min walk but it is down a steep hill but a taxi back was only €7 and well worth the walk, it is a beautiful beach with lovely clear sea. The appartments have a poolside bar run by Hussani, he made our holiday even more enjoyable, he is so helpfully and very funny, it would be a shame if he ever left, defiantly going back next year.

My family & I have stayed at Las Rosas for a number of years & I can say that it is a really good place to stay for a family holiday. The staff are the key, they are all really good Hassani is superb at the Bar & Rafa is always helpful & a top guy, admittedly Air Con would be the final piece to make Las Rosas the finished holiday venue. I have read some of the reviews on here & some are completely unfair, if you want a good base that is relatively close to town, has supermarket access next door & has great people that go back year after year, to this end we have booked again within two weeks for next year! We know the atmosphere we could not get anywhere else is at Las Rosas.

We have just returned from these apartments. On the whole we have no complaints. The apartment was clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. It would have been better if it had had a ceiling fan as it did get very hot and we found it difficult to sleep at night. We got clean sheets and clean towels once during our 8 nights and we felt this was acceptable. We didnt mind emptying our bin or buying loo roles as this is usually what happens in apartments. What I would say is its a fair way from the beach and town centre and if you have trouble walking bear this in mind. We found we needed to taxi back as we couldn't find any info about the local blue bus. We did take a trip to Granada and stayed 1 night and we found it no trouble to use the bus but we did research this before we left England.

I have never written a review before but after having booked these appartments on the strength of the reviews here I felt I had to share my experience.
We booked an appartment for 4 and requested a view of the pool. We got a very small one bedroom appartment with barely enough space for 2 peoples clothes and a view of the supermarket roof, however they were clean. The supermarket could be very noisy at times as could the road. There was one toilet roll when we arrived and we never got any more, you have to supply your own. There was a very bad smell from the drains in the appartment which got stronger each day, when we reported it someone came and put some strong smelling cleaner down the toilet, this sorted it for a couple of days then it started to build again. After 4 days we went to reception to ask how often the maid came, we were informed that they do not clean, you have to empty your own bins(supply your own bags), and towels and sheets would be changed once a week, in fact we got towels twice in 12 days but some were stained and threadbare. We were late back one night and picked up pizzas from the supermarket only to discover there were no shelves in the oven. The pool bar didn't open during the day so no drinks or snacks by the pool and not enough sunbeds. The gardens are very well tended and are beautiful. The appertments are very far from everything and there is really nothing round about, except a couple of bars just up the hill, one called Viva Nerja where you can get an excellent meal, it is a 15 min walk to Burriana beach down a very steep hill(a killer coming back up), this is the closest place for restaurants, and a 25 min walk to the Balcon de Europa.
I would not reccomend these appartments as there are so many better ones for the same money.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but the conditions of the reservation say that the cleaning of the room is on arrival. Towels and sheets changed once a week, having a washing machine if needed. You have booked your stay in an apartment where, unlike a hotel, cleaning during the stay is made by the client, or you can hire the service at the reception. You say that the apartment was given clean, so we do not understand that the title of your comment refers to cleanliness. We strive to provide the best service to our customers, and we care about your opinion, but if you had been in contact with us we would have resolved your doubts and solved any failure on our part.

We arrived to the apartments late (11pm) and as reception was closed so we picked our keys up from Hotel Nerja Club across the road which was easy and had a little map to lead us to our apartment, we checked in the next morning and staff were very nice and helpful. we stayed in B5 which was a 2 bedroom on the ground floor very near the pool. Apartment was spacious with 1 double, 1 twin room and sofa bed in the lounge and had a nice terrace with BBQ and patio furniture. We did get quite a few cockroaches in the apartment but as we were in a grassy area didn't think much of it and my partner just through them out (after my screaming). We were about a mile to the beach and same for the town square but it was nice and there is many shops, restaurants etc. along the way so I enjoyed the walk.

All in all the apartments are good for the price, could do with a little sprucing up but nice enough, only issue we had that there was no sun loungers at our pool and when we tried to get some from the pool across the road (same apartments) we were told we weren't allowed to take them? so you are left sitting on the hard ground around the pool or grassy area nearby which is not very good for watching your kids swimming in the pool but this didn't stop us from enjoying our stay.

My wife and I have just returned from a 10 day stay at the Las Rosas 2 Apartments in Nerja. We arrived in the early hours of June 4th 2013, overly tired from our journey, to find a note on the door of reception stating that we had to pick up our keys from the Hotel Club Nerja, which is approximatly 100mtrs away on the other side of the main road. Once we had picked up our keys we then had to find our apartment, which was no easy task as the layout is a little confusing and the room numbers were not easy to find. But once we'd found our apartment, which was P17, we were pleasantly suprised. The Apartment was very spacious and had a seperate bedroom with 2 good sized, comfortable beds. The kitchen area was well equiped with a full sized electric oven, a 4 ring electric hob, a large fridge freezer, a microwave oven, an electric kettle, a toaster and a coffee maker. Both the seating area and the bedroom open out onto a large semi private balcony, which had a patio table and chairs, ideal for eating alfresco. The balcony everlooked the beautifully maintained gardens, the pool and the poolside bar, which was pretty quiet during our stay but apparently gets quite busy through July and August. The bedding and towels were changed twice during our 10 day stay, which suited us fine as there was little disruption. The resort centre and beach were about a 15 minute walk along the main road, with ample bars and restaurants enroute. Although the walk back is slightly up hill it's not too bad, i'm 54 and my wife is 46 and we found it to be a veary pleasant stroll. There are also bars and restaurants close to the apartments. We had an enjoyable and relaxing stay at the Las Rosas 2 Apartments and hope to return one day soon.
