Small charity who help more than just Donkeys and reply on donations. Take carrots and apples when you go. They now have dogs and cats and pigs.

We saw this sanctuary reviewed on trip advisor and although we had planned to visit the caves at Nerja decided to give this a try.
We looked on their web page which had directions to the sanctuary, and parked up in the town and found the place very easily. What we found on our arrival were some volunteers doing a wonderful job in very difficult circumstances and were made to feel very welcome. They are taking great care of the poor animals that they are looking after and we loved the experiences of feeding the animals with a bucket of food which cost 2 euros. I had to keep going back for more as the animals couldn't get enough and they were all so happy to see you. I didn't want to leave as I felt we had made some animals really happy and wanted to take them all home with me.....
Go there if you love animals.

If you are an animal lover then this is a must do addition to your itinerary. The donkeys, pigs, dogs and cat are all very much loved and well cared for by the band of volunteers who run the sanctuary and it is obvious when you meet the animals that they are content. There is no entry charge, but they are entirely reliant on donations so do go, buy a bucket or two of food for €2 and feed the animals. Then, why not sponsor one for a year? It'll cost you less than the price of lunch for two and will help the sanctuary enormously.

If you're an animal lover, and especially donkey's and horses, then you'll love this place. Many heart wrenching cases, and many long term residents, with a dog, cat, sheep, pot bellied pigs, etc etc, all thrown in. Great to go along the waiting line of mouths with a bucket of food, and feed each one. Love these places, and will be back again.
