“A hidden British jewel”
Reviewed October 10, 2013 via mobile

Just been to the sanctuary to see not just the donkeys but the six pot-bellied pigs, a sheep and a couple of dogs, lovingly cared for by a sizeable number of ALL BRITISH volunteers. A wonderful advertisement for the British love for their animals. Congratulations to them all!

“so so sad”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

it is heart breaking to see the donkeys at the santuary, but please go and support the people who kindly do all this as volunteers. I paid a couple of euros for I think 2 baskets of food for the donkey's. the food only consists of bits of stale bread and carrots but it is sadly all that is available. I will make sure we visit again next time and will make a larger donation, it plays on your mind after the visit, the animals are so well looked after, and are happy with very little, the people who run the santuary are so amazing, go and support them, lovely to be able to make the donkeys a little happy although your heart just wants to do so much more. well done Nerja Donkey Santuary xxx

“Children will love feeding the animals”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

So glad that some caring people are looking after the welfare of neglected animals. Worth half an hour of your time to support the work of these people. When we visited they were caring for 6 tiny abandoned puppies along with the horses, donkeys, pigs and a very fat sheep. They also welcome donations any of your leftovers after your holiday.

“They NEED you!”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

As said previously, just go, enjoy and donate. Thank God there are people like these in the world. They are managing under dreadful inadequate conditions and next to nothing. There is NO help from the government, no grants, just what people like you and I give. Take a walk/taxi there. Take fruit and veg to feed the animals and leave a donation. When my holiday was over, the morning of my flight, I emptied my fridge and cupboard and took everything to them, teabags, milk, soap, shampoo, beach towels and even most of my "holiday" clothes and flip flops. They can make use of everything, one way or another.

“Love It!”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

Just go, enjoy, and donate! These people deserve lots of credit for a great job. Drop in to local supermarket on way there and stock up on carrots and apples......animals need these donations.
