Myself and three friends stayed for 4 nights from 14th to 18th March. We stayed all-inclusive and had a two bedroom apartment.
The apartment was lovely with a large balcony looking over the pool and the beach.
The pool area was lovely, as were the grassed areas where there were lots of sunbeds.
The choice of food at all meals was very good and the staff in the restaurant were friendly and attentive.
It was one of my friends birthday while we were there and we took some balloons and banners to decorate the apartment for her waking up that morning.
When we returned to the apartment that night a bottle of champagne had been left in the fridge for her (us). Think the maid must have informed the management who arranged for this. A lovely touch.
Entertainment is not up to much, but who goes to a hotel for the entertainment?
Nerja is beautiful and I would definitely return.

...only stayed here for five nights in early Feburary 2012, but was not disapointed..was welcomed into the hotel at reception by a very helpful Ana..
..stayed in room 437, with a great view over the pool area..room consist of a seperate seating area, dining area for 4 pers, & kitchette - consisting of kettle, fresh coffee maker, toaster, microwave, 2 ring hob, & fridge...all utensils, crockery, & cutlery are supplied...
...seperate bedroom with plenty of storage space,& clothes hangers !!!...there is also a discreet safe built into the wall of the closet, but you must ask at reception for a key, as a deposit is required...
...bathroom is clean & of adequate size with a supply of toiletries, powerful shower although the tub is on the small size...
....restaurant area is large with plenty of polite, helpful staff on hand...food is plentiful, vast choice to suite all tastes...buffet style, & can visit as often as you like, no matter what board basis you are staying on...i was half board, & definatly no need for lunch...
...bar / lounge area is comfy, & again friendly staff...nice place to relax either with a coffee, beer, or something a little stronger....the entertainment in the evening is, i would say, down to a personal choice...
...very clean hotel, with houskeeping every day doing a great job, & linen changed every 2nd day...towels daily..
...pool area again very clean, but unfortunatley pool not heated, & pool bar appears to be seasonnal...there is however a spa, with a small pool indoors (extra charges apply to spa)..
...nice kept grass area with sunbeds & shades...the beach straight off this is rather grey in colour, & quite 'gitty'...if you are one of these people who like to walk along the beach, the sand is quite soft, & maybe slightly difficult to get a good tread...
...the hotel also has a small shop which sells newspapers, postcards, toiletries etc, groceries, & souveniers...if you are after a bigger shop, Nerja town has a couple of supermarkets, is approx 2 kilometres away & 1 euro on the local (blue) bus that stops outside the hotel on the main road..however, this part of Spain still observes the 'siesta', which is worth taking note of...
...the hotel does get busy at the weekends, as it is opened to the locals, who some stay over in the hotel, & the hotel is not soundproofed...however, a great atmosphere when mixing at the weekend(s)...
...would i visit again - yes, but at a slightly warmer part of the year...unfortunatly, the hotel cannot guarantee the weather.

My friend and I visited this hotel last September/October 2011 -- I have never had such an awful holiday!! Unfortunately I was booked for 3 weeks too. The hotel itself is basically clean MOST of the rooms are of good comfortable size - except for the SINGLE rooms some of which are very small, inlcuding the bath and bathrooms.
The hotel is very noisey and for the last 9 days I had continual noise from the room above where they proceeded every afternooon and night to walk back and forward as if on a walking a marathon 50 miles and moved furniture screeching and banging it about all hours of the day and night. When I asked to move for the fourth time to a top floor if possible (NO noise above) was told sorry no rooms available any where in the hotel ??? Also the constant banging of doors goes on all day and evening with late night revelers walking and talking as if they were on a main street somehwere. As for sleeping well the entertainment music and speech is "so very loud" you can hear it every where in the hotel even with ear plugs - there is no possibily of sleeping until it stops and then not until everyone has gone to bed about 2.00am !! Children running around every where all day and all evening - one very small toddler (about 2/3 years) running around "completely on her own" as did many of the children !!! this little girl fell into the swimming pool at 10.30PM and her father had to jump in an get her out everyone thought this was great fun laugting and thought it was a very funny thing!!! they just wrapped the girl in a towl and left her on a chair for rest of the evening. The food is absolutely awful they have the cheapest cuts of meat e.g. chicken wings - very often inedible beef and the servery is far too small and very often the food was all but cold -- good breading ground for bacteria -- for the amount of people in the hotel the whole dining room was far too small. One had to search for and often wait for a place to be re set to sit down for many of the meals. The tables were for 8 people in rows and you had to fight your way betwen tables and chairs and screaming shouting children to get to and from your seat. The salad bar had the same selection on all 21 days not very good selection either. Same goes for the "Main Course" very poor selection repeated every few days. Desserts well you were lucky if there was any when you went to get one and had to wait up to 25 minutes for any more to appear apart from ice cream all very poor selections. The Bar well what can I say the staff were surley and in the main unhelpful ignoring us and serving Spanish people first althoug we had been waiting a long time and service was very very slow. On the fourth floor I was invaded by ants which took 4 days for the hotel to do anything about them. How do I rate this hotel - I would not go there again if they paid me !!!

Room Tip: Dont think there are any because of the constant noise I changed rooms three time!!!!!

We stayed here for 4 nights (Monday - Friday) in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was perfect, 2 seperate bedrooms, very large bathroom with bidet and hairdryer and full size bath. Lounge area with setee and tv (all English channels a bonus!). Kitchenette area with a fridge so we were able to have a cuppa in bed using tbags and milk from restaurant which we kept in the fridge. Huge balcony and lovely view (apartment 205). Pool towels were available free from the spa. I thought the food was very good and one of the best all inclusive buffet style restaurants Ive been to. All inclusive drinks were fine, Spanish makes of Baileys, Amereto, Spirits, Pernod etc. all quite acceptable. Individual bottles of water at the bar too was an advantage. The entertainment was good and the staff very friendly and helpful apart from one lady on reception who was quite rude on our arrival. The hotel is full of mostly Saga customers but they too were very friendly and good company. Jose, the animation guy was lovely and we played table tennis and boules. It is a 30 minute brisk walk into town but this wasnt a problem. I would certainly return to this hotel and recommend it to friends and colleagues in future. It gets a thumbs up from all of us in our group.

We have just returned from a relaxing 5 night break at the Marinas de Nerja. Overall, we found the hotel to be excellent value for money and would defintely recommend the all inclusive option.

On arrival we were upgraded from the studio we had booked to a 1 bed apartment. The room was very large with separate lounge/kitchen area. Plenty of wardrobe space - 3 saparate wardrobes which we didnt really need but would be ideal if you were staying longer than 5 days. We were sadly not fcing the pool, beach area which we were not too bothered about for the price we paid and free upgrade but it did mean it was quite dark as the room didnt get the sun during the day and we could hear the cockerils and dogs from the farm at the side of the hotel but this wasnt too distracting. We arrived fairly late and as the buffet had finished, the staff left us a meal in ourroom. I thought this was a realy nice touch and all we had to do was give it a quick blast in the microwave. Also because we did nt get to have lunch on our first day, the receptionist marked on our room card that we could enjoy lunch and the AI facilities on the day we were to check out - effectively free drinks etc until 3pm. I have not known this in a hotel before so we were quite impressed.

At this time of year, the hotel is certainly geared towards the older clientele and we did feel quite young playing bingo and listening to 82 year old Frank Sinatra impersonator, Tony Lee from Batley! However, we got into the spirit of things, made some friends and enjoyed the drinks.

The restaurant was good, food plentiful and varied. Sometimes mealtimes were a bit busy, particularly on the weekend when Spanish come for their weekends.

the outside areas and pool were well maintained and clean with plenty of loungers and seating areas. We would have liked it if the pool bar had have opened during the day to save walking from the beach to the bar inside to get a drink. Im not sure why this was the case on the warmer days where more people were outside then inside, maybe the hotel could review this based on where most people are sitting?

The staff were fine, they did not go out of their way to be extra chatty but were on the whole polite.

The hotel is a 20min walk into Nerja. Nerja is nice but we found it very quiet on an evening and a bit disappointingly lacking in atmosphere. However this was probably to do with the time of year or night we chose to go out. During the day there was a bit more atmosphere and it is quite pretty and a lot more spanish than other resorts we have stayed in spain before. Being AI we did not take advantage of any restaurants in Nerja but there were plenty and they looked very nice.

We had a trip out to Frigiliana which is well worth going to and a visit to the caves which was ok but we were literally only in the caves for 30 minutes (8.50 euro pp) so you cannot really spend a whole afternoon or day here.

I would recommned this hotel and im sure you will have a nice relaxing break here. If you are 60+ you will enjoy it even more and I'm sure make lots of new friends! If you are under 50, relax and enjoy the slower pace of life here!

Just back from a lovely stay at this hotel. Hotel right on the beach, Food good, plenty to choose from each day, staff friendly, room was good, great views of the pool and beach, pool and gardens areas clean and well looked a after. Entertainment in the evening very good most nights. Flamengo dance and the magic shows not to be missed..

Reception most helpful when we had a problem with our hire car, spoke to hire firm for us and sorted out another replacement car.

One of the better hotels we have stayed in, we will be going back.
