We requested a particular room view and got it in spades! Everywhere was spotless and room towels were changed on request (by leaving them in the bath). We stayed between Dec. 11th to 19th 20011 and there was entertainment (including dancing) three nights per week, which was welcome, as the town centre was very quiet in the evening. There are plenty of places to visit in the area and a car (parking available) is a good option and is very cheap from the airport in the off season. The lounge, bar and pool areas are all spacious and well equiped. The food was sound, rather than spectacular but we ate plenty of it! Going back next year.

We would like to highly recommend the Hotel Nerja Club in Nerja,Spain. It is family run and a most friendly and welcoming place to stay.We recently spent our fifth holiday there and were delighted with the refurbishment and improvements which have taken place since our last visit in 2010
The service from all the staff was excellent as always with good food, plenty of choice and lively entertainment during the enenings. Our refurbished room was of a very high standard and again ,as always the whole hotel was cleaned thoroughly every day.We were made to feel most welcome and enjoyed our stay very much. We look forward to returning in 2012.

This was a last minute decision and a specail offer from the travel agent, but we could not find fault with the Hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room was kept very clean and the food, although restricted in range was always piping hot, well cooked and tasty. We will be booking our next visit as soon as possible!

Just back from a week in Nerja Club Hotel and have to say it almost lives up to the very good reviews I had seen. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean. My friend and I had booked 2 single rooms and on arrival were given doubles. The only downside was that my friend had requested high floor and balconies overlooking pool. We were on second floor (which is directly above lounge area and my friends room was overlooking main road with no sun at all. The rooms are spotlessly clean and have recently been renovated. Bathrooms were good size with power shower. Staff are very pleasant and always greeted you with a smile. Very often Miguel the Manager was seen about chatting to the guests.

Entertainment on every night, but felt the amplification was far too loud for size of lounge and if you were above it there was no point in trying to get to sleep until it had finished.TV lounge was very comfortable with plenty of seating and had internet access.

It is quite a walk from hotel into town and it would be difficult if you had any walking problems or chest problems. It is quite a steep walk back from town and if you walk down to Burriana beach it is definitely advisable to get taxi back up as it it VERY steep. Beautiful walk once you are there though an well worth the visit.Lots of restaurants and we had a very nice lunch there.

Another place to visit is Torrox Costa with long promenade walk and a restaurant called Holiday Restaurant which has an excellent tourist menu for 7.50 Euros. Only cost 2.10 return on bus. We also visited Malaga which is a lovley city and again bus is very reasonable for return. If you get off in the centre it saves having to go all the way into bus station.

Normally you keep best till last, but in this case I have kept the major disappointment till last! The food!!! Breakfast was fine and as I am personally not a breakfast eater I can't comment on cooked food, but there did seem to be plenty for everyone. I had toast which is all I take at home. It was the evening meal which let the hotel down. To say the least it is pretty basic with what there was not well presented (apart from the salad bar) and invariably cold.On the first night there were boiled potatoes which were so watery they were impossible to eat. Other nights it was instant potato which in a restaurant is totally unacceptable. I would not even eat them at home never mind in a hotel. Main courses on the face of it had something that everyone could eat,but on inspection very often looked congealed and overcooked. The desserts were a major disappointment as there was only one cake choice and something that looked like custard with a biscuit on top.The soup was like water and most of the time the bread rolls served were left over from breakfast.

It is such a shame as management did pay detail to every other aspect of peoples stay. I did pass on my comments to hotel and there were other people of the same opinion, but as to whether they ever bother to make it known I cannot say.

Apart from the food there is nothing bad I can say about the hotel itself and if you are bed and breakfast you will love it.

Room Tip: Ask for room on third floor to back or side of hotel

Stayed at the Nerja Club for a week half board early November 2011 booked through hotels 4u and paid £240 (£120each), flights from Liverpool via Ryan Air (£199 for 2 return including insurance), and transfers via Travel Republic (£72 for 2 return, paid for shared shuttle bus, but got private taxi!). Nice easy going well run, clean hotel, no hassle, nice atmosphere, evening entertainment, happy hour (half price drinks, no need to buy two, unless you want to!).
Nice range of Tapas ( think king prawns in mayo, Spanish omelette, mixed salad etc. usually a choice of 5 served all day at the bar or pool area, generous portions and at 1 euro each a definite bargain).
Reasonable choice of food at both Breakfast & Dinner more edible than enjoyable (not bad,not great). Small (ish) swimming pool with lovely decked area for sun bathing and great views over the roof tops to the sea. As stated in previous reviews a good 20mins walk to the Balcon/town centre (slight incline on way back). Bus stop into town just across the road outside the well stocked supermarket. A good 15mins walk to the beach (very steep incline on way back, did it once but had to flag down a taxi on second attempt having already passed sherpa tensing!!). Overall a very enjoyable stay, helped by the sunny 70 degree weather and wouldn't hesitate in becoming a return guest
