A good short break in a beautiful situation with an excellent room
The staff were pleasant and helpful. There was a pleasant ambience in the parador. Our room was very comfortable with very good disabled facilities. Its situation made it a good centre fo those guests who would wish to explore Nerja and its coast and hinterland.

This hotel has it all. The staff is friendly, the rooms are good and clean, but for all the garden, de pool, de private elevator to the beach make the hotel a great place to stay. You get a welcome drink at the (garden)bar and free towels at the pool. In the garden - that is a arboretum itself- there are free beds and the garden is big enough to have the idea to be alone. From the garden you oversee the beach and te see. A private elevator brings you there in one minute. We were there for a short stay between Granada and Sevilla, but decided to get back once for a longer stay. It is an exceptional spot (Nerja as well as the hotel) for a family holiday.
Nagative things ? Ok, small. Breakfast is expensive (you can have great breakfast at the beach) and the corridors near the rooms can use a small makeover to look more 20now.

We have stayed in many Paradores and this is one of the best. Excelllent room with a balcony looking out over the grounds to the sea. Very good food in the restaurant with lots of space to eat out on the terrace. They have used the public spaces very nicely to allow to find quiet corners to sit and relax.

Genuinely surprised by this Costa experience. Went purely for the weather and accepted that the rest would be less appealing. How wrong we were. Nerja is a lovely area, magnificent views of sea and mountains, quaint central area, some fine eating, a spectacular UNESCO cave and easy to visit Granada. As to the hotel (like the resort) there was an understated excellence to it. Well summed up by a previous poster it is not "appealing architecturally" but would totally agree that the ambience forces relaxation upon you. It felt like a wonderful island, with sumptuous greenery, trees, space and views that connected you to the place but also provide seperation if you wanted it. The staff were unimposing yet present, breakfast was a lengthy event if you wanted, the pool was bracing to say the least but forced exercise upon you! In summary, a wonderful surprise.

Room tip: Ground floor, superior room.

Very nice place on a good location with an excellent view to the sea. Friendly staff and excellent food. Good access to the public beaches by elevator. Close to the city center (walking distance), but not noisy.
