“Wonderful Meal”
Reviewed August 29, 2014 via mobile

The evening meal we had at La Braseria was truly wonderful. We ate at some amazing restaurants in Nerja but this was definitely the best. And it was amazing value for such high class food. It is in a great location if you like to people watch as you eat. We loved it.

“If there's a better restaurant in Nerja....”
Reviewed August 28, 2014

We've only been going to Nerja for 12 years, I missed last year but my wife went and ate here and raved about it, so I was keen to try it. In the end we ate here a few times, sampling most of the suckling pig and lamb dishes, the ribs, the burgers (probably the nest I've ever had) and the starters. All were first class. The presentation was excellent and served in a very friendly manner. Special mention needs to go to the Charcoal cooked prawns (well we'd call them langoustine - simply stunning) and I would mention that the gambas pil-pil is more curried than most of the local versions... but very good. So returning to the title.. Taking into account the price and the quality of the food I'd have to say this is the best restaurant we've found in Nerja

There are a lot of places to eat around here. This was a real find with great quality and well presented food. The starters and deserts were fabulous. Highly recommended

“Unexpected and splendid surprise”
Reviewed August 10, 2014

It was the last night of our visitors' stay and they wanted to stroll down to The Balcon for dinner. We strolled down Calle Almirante Ferrandiz to the restaurant area, not having decided in advance where to eat but to take pot luck; there are lots of restaurants there and they are all the same, aren't they? Well, no. We came to La Braseria and the tables all looked tidily laid out with gleaming white tablecloths, purple napkins and sparkling cutlery and glasses. They had room for seven (including two children) so we sat down.
The service was exemplary, the drinks were ordered and delivered promptly whilst we scanned the extensive menu. The children chose chicken nuggets and chips (both hand cut and excellent, not from frozen) followed by ice cream. For starters the adults chose a Mediterranean tomato salad, grilled asparagus, fish soup and grilled prawns (the latter from the fixed price gourmet menu). For main course we enjoyed respectively, roast rosada pil pil, grilled tuna steak, monk fish papilotte, tagliatelle bolognese and from the "gourmet" menu, lamb shank served with potato cake and mixed vegetables.
It was all excellent, both in terms of quality and quantity and the staff were alert enough to serve the children at a different speed from the adults. For dessert, included in the gourmet menu, Manchego cheese served with grapes was a perfect way to round off an excellent meal. And all, including drinks, for 130 euros. We will certainly return. This was an unexpected, really good dinner and set us up well to continue our stroll to The Balcon for the last time this year.

“Muy delicioso!!!!”
Reviewed August 3, 2014 via mobile

Best meal of our ten days here. My son had the Kobe beefburger and said it was probably the best burger he has ever had ( he is 32 and had had a few including in South Africa). I had an amazingly tasty salad ( vegetarian), my granddaughter had ribs and the meat just fell of the bone), I could go on for ever and name all the dishes! All the desserts were amazing!! Depends what you are looking for in terms of price just over, £20.00 each, you get what you pay for. This was worth it!!! Will be going back again before we leave.
