Our second stay at Elena. Just loved it. Everything was just perfect for us. We can't wait to go back again. Lovely, relaxing and peaceful area.

Stayed here two years ago to the delight of a welcome pack. The bread milk and water were just what we needed after the flight and the 50 mins taxi ride. Also had clean towels and a cleaner came mid week.
This stay was disappointing. No welcome pack. Only one hand towel between three adults for seven days and only one regular bath towel each for seven days. The quality of the towels was poor and past thier best. Bed linen in double bed was also past it's best.
No change of linen and no cleaner. Also last stay in 2015 the pool man came mid week to clean the pool.
We love the area and the villa but housekeeping needs upgrading. Also the wardrobe space in twin room was taken up by a basket of laundry clean/ dirty? Not sure but not ideal, had nowhere to put my case.

Dear Moira,
I am sorry to hear we did not meet up to your expectations. I must admit though, I am a bit surprised about some of your feedback. After taking over we have upgraded the villa with new beds, bedlinen, towels, kitchen utensils and free wi-fi, as well as re-painted all inner and outer walls.

Regarding the welcome pack we will of course take your feedback into consideration. Our experience so far is that it varies a lot what our guests would like to have when they arrive to a self-catered villa. We now have coffee, tea and fresh water available for all guests. I will upgrade the web-site to specify we can arrange for a welcome pack at arrival if required, to avoid confusion.

Furthermore the website specifies that we can arrange additional cleaning and/or change of bed linen/towels at self cost. As there is a washing machine in the villa many of our guests prefer to use that rather than ordering extra change of towels.

The laundry basket should not be there. I'll have that sorted out so thank you for notifying me about it.

I hope you still had a pleasant stay in lovely Nerja and hope to be able to welcome you again at a later occation.

Kind regards
Helena

“Good semi detached villa in quiet location with pool.”

Very nice place in a quiet urbanisation with a lovely pool on the terrace. Sea view in the distance and good location in the urbanisation. Nerja is a slightly annoying distance away if you want to go there most nights. Either drive and don't drink or catch the bus which stops at 20.45 in April in Nerja, taxi 6/7 euros or walk about 25mins.There was no welcome pack when you arrive telling all local info. Bedding was in need of upgrade. Sun lounger mattresses were too mouldy to use. We very much enjoyed our stay and it is a very good property for a quiet week away.

Thank you for your honest review and valuable input!
Upgrade of the villa started when we took over the premises last summer and will continue until all necessary items has been replaced. Most will be in place in time for the summer season and bedding, towels, china etc. was actually replaced this week. We have also gathered the necessary information for an information package which will be in place in due time for the summer season. The bad shape of the sun lounger mattresses has regrettably not been known to us, and we will of course have them replaced.
Hope we can welcome you back in the future to an even better stay!"

“Peaceful”
Reviewed July 26, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

My husband and I with 2 children just returned from 1 week here. First time in Nerja and must say we loved it. The area of punta Lara is quiet we hardly seen a soul. We didn't hire a car but wish we had, although it's only €8-10 in a taxi we did this a few times along & back into Nerja centre. Absolutely beautiful town with plenty restaurants and bars till late. You can walk it but it was quite warm and we had two children. The bus didn't turn up on a couple of occasions so we gave up on that.

There are restaurants and a bar in the area but we didn't go. We were on holiday with a large group so we went into the main area most evenings.

The villa itself has everything you need, and having your own pool is the best! We arrived no problem and got in with the key safe. The place has recently been sold this didn't make any difference to us but the new owners didn't provide the welcome pack we expected. It's only a few basic things but would have been a huge help! Wouldn't cost much. We had to go to the neighbours to borrow a bottle of water for the baby until my husband figured out where the local shop was. A little stressful but we got sorted in the end

The villa needs a little upgrading but I'm sure the new owners realise this and are just trying to find time as it's so busy. The bedding and towels are past their best I would say. Otherwise It was clean & tidy. Mags who does the change over / cleaning etc came to see how we were settling in and was very friendly and helpful.

We will definately return to Nerja and this villa would be ideal again , really liked it.

Thank you for your honest review. For us as new owner the input is most valuable. We do apologise for the missing welcome pack, this information was regrettably lost in the handover. We have started upgrading and bedding, towels, china etc. will be fully replaced by next season. We also have plans of other improvements, however these must be done when there are no bookings.
Hope we can welcome you back to an even better stay!

“A fabulous villa, perfect location - ideal relaxing break”

We stayed in Villa Elena for one week in August, and we had a fabulous time. The villa has absolutely everything you could ever need, is comfortable and spacious, and the pool is absolutely fantastic. There is a small local shop within walking distance, however we liked to get a taxi into Nerja which only cost about 7 euro as there were plenty of shops and things to see and do. We loved the place, so relaxing and will definitely be returning!!.

“Beautiful Villa”
Reviewed September 9, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The property was in a beautiful location, very clean and comfortable. Good amenities close by but the area for us was to hilly and to many steps.
The owner and manager were very helpful and pleasant, and the water bread and butter on arrival was much appreciated.

We have fallen in love with this place. The villa is very clean, well furnished and so homely. We were able to relax as soon as we arrived and accessed the premises.
Having the pool was wonderful, it made life so easy and stress free. I loved having the freedom to read, relax and have a dip.
The area is lovely, the walk along the beach to Nerja and having food at one of the beach front restaurants was delightful.
We ate at San Miguels on two occasions - fabulous paella. And the restaurant on the hill twice, views over Nerja and the mountains was great, lovely food a bit over priced but very good.
I've been a Greek island girl for years, hopping from island to island, but this place is just as wonderful will definitely be back.
The fiesta in Nerja was unexpected and such a wonderful array of colour and fun and Frigiliana is a must.
