From our rental house nearby we had only 5 minutes stroll to the beach. All days were sunny. Small waves made fun for the children. We hired kayaks, and had a nice trip with them overviewing Nerja from the sea side. Many restaurants are lined up along the beach.

Always a pleasure to spend a day on Burriana beach. Sundays are particularly busy. Lots to do and lots to watch - water sports; volleyball; excellent looky looky vendors. Good facilities nearby and, of course, Ayo's.

We first visited Burriana beach in 2001, and have returned quite a few times since. The beach itself has improved, with the Municipality adding soft sand over the large stones some years ago, and it's kept very clean and tidy. There are four kids play stations along the beach, and floodlit volley ball (three courts) are positioned in the middle of the stretch. Beach restaurants are good, and in warm summer evenings the atmosphere is great. However over the years the sea has become more choppy with bigger waves and undercurrents - why this is we don't know. We always visit May/June, so perhaps we're unlucky? There is also a very steep slope down into the sea, with a massive increase in sea depth, so swimming may not be suitable for young children or poor swimmers. Overall still a good beach, with very good facilities, but due to poor swimming not the solid four stars it used to be.

Good clean beach with excellent facilities such as sun beds and umbrellas. In November they charge a reasonable E4.00 per day. The beach bars serve excellent fish and there is lots to choose from. The beach is an easy walk from the Balcon in Nerja.
