Two of us went here for dinner. Everything was perfect. We were warmly greeted and seated by the proprietor. The table settings were most attractive with linen tablecloths and tiffany-style table lamps which set an intimate ambience.
We were given a complimentary amuse-bouche. For starters one chose veloute de asperges (asparagus soup €8.80), which was beautifully presented with 13 fresh green asparagus tips and a poached egg. The other chose pate de fois gras (€13), beautifully served and delicious. Served with fresh-baked bread.
For mains one chose carre d'agneau (€21), cooked to perfection and attractively presented and the other chose tagine of lamb (€17), which was very good.
We chose a plate of assorted French cheeses (€8.50) to share to finish off the meal.
We ordered from the a-la-carte menu and the meal was a touch on the pricey side but good value for the quality of food and service. Seperately there is an affordable set menu offering 2 courses for €22 or 3 courses for slightly more.
Overall a delightful meal with impeccable setting and service.
