“Authentic Indian Cuisine made with exotic blended spices. Good Value Menu del Dia lunch €9.90”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2012

Restaurante Jaipur is situated on Calle Los Huertos (not one of the main tourist streets), so for a restaurant to succeed it is necessary to have a good reputation that keeps bringing customers back.

We have been here many times and often see faces of other regulars in the restaurant. One of the main reasons that people keep returning is the authenticity and flavours of the dishes. So many other restaurants use pre-prepared sauces and the varying "hotness" is merely dependent on how much extra chilli pepper is added. In Jaipur, the food is cooked with blends of many different exotic aromatic spices. As you enter the restaurant, the kitchen is openly visible so customers can see the chefs blending the spices as they prepare the dishes.

At lunchtimes they do a very good value Menu del Dia which includes a starter (Onion Bhaji Chicken Pakora or Vegetable Pakora), main of Chicken, Lamb or Vegetable Curry (Korma, Madras) with pillao rice, Ice Cream or Coffee - all for only €9.90.

All the prices on the a la carte menu represent good value - appetisers for between €4 or €5, main dishes between €10.90 and €12.90, bread/nans/roti between €2 and €3. Wines start at 11 Euros.

It depends upon the time of year, of course, but the best tables are on the covered upper terrace at the rear overlooking the courtyard below.

Above all you are warmly greeted and served by the staff who are charming and professional.

Incidentally, besides the main entrance in Calle Los Huertos, it is also possible to enter the restaurant from the rear using an entrance in Los Huertos Car Park.

“great indiand food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2012

If you do go to Nerja and like indian food try the Jaipur situated near the Balcon but towards the Parador end but head for the main car park and there is an entrance from there. In the heat of the summer try and book an outside table and wherever you sit you will still be greeted with a great smile from the owner and staff and they are very helpful.I must say we are great fans of indian food in the uk but the food here is freshly cooked and very authentic. On this vist i asked for extra garlic with my dish and it was fantastic and prices are same almost as the uk.Well worth a visit.

“The smell drew us in!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2012

We had decide we wanted to go for an Indian one night and really hadn't decide which one but the smell passing by the Jaipur drew us in. The food was excellent i hada Lamb dish I'd never tried before - it was hot ans sour- but even old favourites like Chicken tikka were excellent. A little pricey by Nerja standards but then I find Indian is at home as well

“Go and Enjoy”

Easily one of the best Indian meals we've ever had. Full of taste and beautiful flavours. Attentive, but not over intrusive service. Absolutely fantastic!

“Great food but small portions”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2012

Have ate here on two occasions. The food is very good and is without a doubt best Indian in Nerja but the portions are rather small. In saying that I will go back to this restaurant again or for a takeaway.
