“Spring Break”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

This is probably the best value for money hotel I have used in Spain
Great position on sea front with its own snack bars etc all with a happy hour sometime during the day or evening
Anything you requested was dealt with, nice size rooms overlooking the pool, and quiet. Furniture a bit dated but excellent standards of cleaning service. adults only.
food selection (half board ) tremendous selection and quality although self service buffet staff always on hand to assist
Great and varied entertainment every evening so need to go out
Top of my list for a future Costa del sol break
only critscism, 16 Euros a week for room fridge rental seem excessive and petty considering 4*

Room Tip: pool view is good if booked via Thomsons they charge more per night if you want a double instead of...

Was there from 6th to 13th March and thoroughly recommend this hotel, staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable with smashing views over the promenade. Entertainment was excellent with 2 choices, either duo for our more mature folks or disco for the brave. Large choice of food so something for everyone. Stayed at hotel Angela last year and would honestly find it hard to pick the best one. Too breezy up by the pool so only stayed half an hour but would imagine that would be welcomed when it was hot.

I was a little concerned having read some of the negative reviews but needn't have worried, the Yaramar thoroughly deserves it's 4* rating! The service here is excellent, on arrival your bags are whisked away and promptly delivered to your room. Check in is quick and efficient. There are 15 floors, accessed by four glass lifts. The hotel is well maintained and kept immaculately clean and the staff efficient and attentive. Rooms are spacious, well furnished and well serviced on a daily basis. A digital safe and pool towels are provided at no extra cost as are tea/coffee making facilities and shower gel/shampoo/soap which are all replenished as needed. Toothbrushes/paste are also provided. There is also a small fridge you can hire if required. The beds are firm and very comfortable. We were surprised to find the flat screen t.v. had the all the BBC and ITV channels we are used to in the UK as well as the usual news channel. The pool area is on the first floor with great views over the sea and promenade in both directions. It is furnished with ample sun beds and mattresses are provided too. The cafe/pool bar is also in this area and serves hot and cold drinks and delicious food made to order. There is an ice cream bar on the front of the hotel and a beach club across the road which offered residents 2 sun loungers, parasol and a jug of sangria for 5€. There are two entertainment areas for the evening, the ground floor was live music provided by either the resident duo or resident 'crooner', both were very good and the dance floor was always busy. The other venue is in the 'basement' and is where you can join in with the nightly quiz and game of bingo which is followed at 21.30 by a Cabernet act, all of which were excellent! This is followed by a disco till the early hours. There is also a variety of daytime activities from keep fit to craft classes if you wish to take part. The food here is excellent with a wide choice of dishes at every meal. Something for everyone, very impressed! The hotel is on the seafront with shops, bars and a variety of places to eat in the immediate vicinity . The main shopping area is only a few minutes walk away as is the railway station which offers a regular service along the coast to Malaga stopping at the other resorts en route. Trains are every 20 minutes and are clean and cheap. I would not hesitate to stay here again!!

Room Tip: Ask for a low floor if you don't like heights!!

Travelled to this holel in March 13 for the 3rd time. The area is great with plenty to do, but the hotel is not in my opinion 4 star. The bed was very hard and asked for mattress topper but suplied with blankets under the sheet on the mattress, helped but not much. Bath chipped and shower blew hot and cold very quickly, towels very thin and hard. Breakfast was satisfactory plenty of choice, evening meal very dissappointing, no change from a year ago. Staff very friendly. A few windows in restaurant cracked and by the revolving front door a cracked pane of glass. The entertainment was repetative with exception of the Jersey Boys who were excellent.

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at the Yaramar. On arrival our check-in was completed in minimum time and we went to our room which was only on the 2nd floor. We had a lovely view down the promenade and beach and were most impressed by the fittings etc, including a free room safe which saved us quite a bit of money. The dining room was spacious and the food was plentiful. The hotel itself is quiet although the entertainment at night could be heard but only up to 11pm.The pool area is good but because it is on the first floor it did mean that any breeze(or in our case wind)had a very cooling effect .The professional acts were good and the resident duo"Obsession" were excellent. All the staff worked hard to please and were most pleasant. The promenade at Fuerengirola is long and flat with many seats and as such is ideal for more mature visitors. Our only criticism was that the beds were a bit hard for our tastes but we did hear the same comment from other guests. We can see why guests return year after year and many certainly do.The hotel was busy but this could have been due to the Angela Hotel being closed for refurbishment. If we were to return to Fuengirola we would certainly use the Yaramar again.

Room Tip: We opted to have a low floor and were not disappointed.Rooms nearer the front have a much better vie...

We have just returned from a 5 night stay HB at the Yaramar and it was our first visit to Fuengirola. We thoroughly enjoyed our short break, all the staff in the hotel worked extremely hard and were the most friendliest staff in any hotel we have stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble and we couldn't fault the service, it was excellent. The room was spotlessly clean and the views were fantastic. There was a reasonable variety of food in the restaurant, although the choice of desserts offered didn't change so did get a bit boring. The rooms are in need of some re-decoration and I would say it is a very good standard 3 star rather than a 4 star but it was excellent value for money and we would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony overlooking the pool as they get the sun in the afternoon during the w...
