Stayed one week from 2/8/2012 till 9th,i emailed the hotel beforehand asking for a room no higher that the 5th floor, which we got we were on the 3rd overlooking the beach great for people watching,Toiletries all free, toothbrush/comb etc,

Safe free, fridge 16euro a week or you can pay daily. Before you pay for the fridge have a mess about with the lock on the cupboard door and the fridge might open our's did also other people that we spoke to said there's did then just close the cupboard door before you leave the room so that the cleaning staff don't see the door unlocked.

Towels changed daily even if they were left on the rack, room cleaned daily.sheets changed,
free beach towels just leave dirty ones in the bath and the cleaner will changed them.
Flat screen TV, we never had all english channels on.

Happy hour in different bars times are in the lift, all hotel staff are lovely, food very good.sometimes you have to queue to go in for evening meal,it does say men should wear long pants most did but there was still a few in shorts.
Most reviews have mentioned the entertainment, and location. We never bothered with daytime games etc,and only seen the MIA MAMMA show which was held in the basement and was very enjoyable to watch.
There was a mix of ages at the hotel this time some couples in there 20's.

BEACH,you get a discount on the beach if you stay in the Yaramar 2beds 1 umbrella and 2 small cup's of Sangria for 5euro.
Train station 10min away behind the hotel cheap and easy to get around also the train takes you to and from the airport for about 2euro pp.

Local buses are very good to use and cheap again,we paid 3euro5 pp to Marbella 1 hour journey eachway they don't do returns (Bus 220).
Mijas 1euro40pp eachway. For the buses you have to go to main bus station in Fuengirola about 10/15 min walk.
Trains from Los Boliches to Malaga 3.35pp,from Malaga to Belamadena 2.50.

Room Tip: Pool facing rooms get the sun all day but we asked for seaview better to watch the world go by while...

Our second trip to the Yaramar in two years was just as successful as our first. We don't usually return to the same location twice, but we made an exception this year and have no regrets. The hotel is ideally situated on the beach-front and the nearby Rivera Beach club, which belongs to the hotel, give concessions on sunbeds for guests. The hotel pool is relaxing and there are usually sunbeds and parasols available there too, but we prefer the beach. It's worth mentioning here that all rooms have a sea view.

Food at the the hotel is excellent and the variety good and very well presented. Wine is very reasonable in the restaurant and there's a good variety to choose from. Service is also courteous and friendly and this commitment to service is consistent throughout the hotel from the management down. On checking in we discovered a couple of minor problems with the room. For instance, the safe didn't work and a bulb had blown. Hotel maintenance had these issues fixed within fifteen minutes with no fuss. Not bad! The maid service is also very good and the level of cleanliness is very high throughout. WiFi is free and there is very good reception.

We went out most evenings, just to stroll or have a drink, so we didn't stay for the entertainment, but lots of guests did and obviously found it ok. There are happy hours at various times too. The cost of drinks is very reasonable both in the hotel and in the local bars. However, the bars on the seafront and along the back streets have a slight advantage and are incredibly cheap compared to UK or Irish prices. But if you'd rather to stay in the hotel bar, it's still exceptionally good value.

Rail and bus transportation is very convenient as well as cheap and you can get around a lot of places without a car.

Rooms are comfortable and have tea and coffee making facilities, as well as hair dryer, safe, TV and excellent air con as standard. Plenty of English channels on the TV and the hotel seems to be rolling out new models.

We will definitely return here at some point and I have no hesitation about recommending this hotel to anyone.

just back from a very nice hot week at the yaramar very nice hotel in what is also an area very popular with spanish holiday makers , agree with others that the food , entertainment team ( milli is a star in the making for sure ) very nice pool but slight lack of sunbeds as always at this time of year , people queue for 30mins waiting for the pool doors to be opened at 9am ish so were as bad as the germans nowdays it seems you know who you are tut tut
. great views from high floors recomended , nice very clean rooms , i did see at least 3 kids around from time to time so not quite adults only for sure . if i had to be picky i would say they were no bar or pool waiter service a bit poor for a 4 star hotel i thought , beds not great , air con could be better in dinning room and show bar , room air con not bad , mini fridge at 13 euros a week ( again not good for a 4 star ) is small but ok if you leave your drinks in for for a day to cool . none of above should put anyone off going as we had a great time enjoyed the great entertainment by the team, more of the shows outdoors would be better on warm nights though, would go again for sure. try it.

stayed between 27/07/12 &03/08/12. Cant believe some of the negative reviews on here, firstly let me agree that the rooms are looking a bit tired but they are still off a good standard, maybe this will be addressed in the near future. For the first time ever we were given a safety deposit box at no charge...well done about time. The food was good and plenty of it,there were also several happy hours at different times during the day which saved you a few euro's.There were no queue's for sunbeds, think this was because of the discounted sunbeds and parasols on the beach over the road. The entertainment was good as were all off the entertainment team, the only negative was where most of the evening entertainment took place,as its an L shape room you might end up watching it on a large screen. The hotel is in a great location right on the beach with loads of bars and cafes nearby, also the streets behind the hotel come alive at night with a great number of tapas bars, which seem to do a roaring trade. The main thing that impressed both me and my mrs was the fact that the staff were all so friendly and did thier jobs with a smile on thier face and were always happy to help, which goes a long way to making it a good holiday. All in all i would happily return to this hotel....oh and by the way, the weather was fantastic.

Room Tip: try getting a room overlooking the pool, we were on the 12th floor and the views were fantastic

Went twice this year to this hotel as we enjoyed it so much the first time. However,we found the beds to be hard and uncomfortable,so for a four star hotel,I think this problem should be addressed, because I wasn't the only one complaining.one of the Thomson reps urged me to point this out as things would not improve if we didn't say anything. But,this will not stop us returning again, because it's a great hotel in everything else. Loved the happy hours and Craig the rep worked his socks off,he seemed to be there 24/7.

Room Tip: Get a pool view high floor rather than sea view, because you lose the sun halfway through the day on...

Just come back from a week at the Yaramar, myself and my husband and it was the best hotel we have stayed in. The staff are so friendly and helpful even though they work their socks off. The Thomson team are brilliant especially Craig, Dan, Millie and Elle who are all round entertainers. The resident duo were good and the DJ who played our drunken requests!
The hotel was stunning and exactly as pictured. Our room was spotless. The food was plentiful and there was a lot of choice. The men are asked to wear trousers to the dining room for dinner which panicked us as my husband hadn't brought any but you can get away with long shorts as long as they are below the knee. I have just read the review written by SUEDIX99 and agree with every word! Fabulous holiday.

Room Tip: I think rooms with sea views are better than joint sea and pool views as they are more private!
