we went to hotel angela for our honeymoon as recommended by thomsons holiday. we were on the top floor ( 9th) and we had a great view over the beach and the main strip. the hotel was beautiful. the rooms were kept clean and the domestic staff always had your room smelling lovely when they has finished. the restaurant was very nice and always had plenty of different dishes to choose from. i am a fussy eater and i always found something to eat. some of the restaurant staff could have better manners as i wasnt happy when a staff member moved my partners breakfast from our table and placed it on another table without an explanation!!. i found this very rude and i did speak to our thomsons rep about this problem. the pool was lovely and you could look over to the beach area when in pool. the entertainment was very poor but we enjoyed rob stevens on the terrace ( thank you) in the main lounge the decor was beautiful and very comfortable to sit in. we spoke to loads of holidaymakers (all very friendly) in mature ages and they has told us they were very disappointed in the entertainment ( these people were in there 70's). when we booked this holiday we were told this was a adults only hotel and we thought perfect!! although when time was going on there were children arriving ( although this didnt bother both of us we like kids).happy hour was brill!! i dont think i can look at another vodka at the min lol. we enjoyed our 14 night stay at hotel angela in fuengirola but i wouldnt recommend to families as these kids looked bored in the evening.

Room Tip: room 927 had a nice view and always got the sun first thing in the morning.

just arrived back sunday, excellent hotel caters for the older age bracket.
couldn't fault nothing, entertainment if you like what they offer is good.
George who works there is a really good singer on a Wednesday night.
will recommend this hotel to anyone
going for sun beds in the morning is just what you expect and it was good fun watching people move everything around to suit what they wanted.

Room Tip: choose a pool side room

Returned yesterday after a 10 day girly holiday, all 4 of us around the 40's age group. We had a fab time, despite initially thinking we were at a saga lounge lol
It's absolutely fair to say that this hotel attracts a more mature clientele, but personally, I think it's interesting to mingle with interesting people not teenage lager louts, so this was fine with us.
The hotel is perfectly located on the sea front, and across the road from a lovely beach. If you're not a beach fan, you'll not be disappointed with the pool, it's stunning, spotlessly clean, but the sun does not come right around to this side of the hotel until just after midday. However, you can enjoy sunbathing til late evening, as its a real sun trap til around 8pm
A pool view room means your balcony can become very hot, and I was relieved to have a room on opposite side, to have a shady drink on the balcony whilst getting ready for evening meal.
The breakfasts and evening meals catered for every taste amply, always a good selection, lots of salads, soups, meat, fish dishes and vegetables. I had no problem finding a healthy option, but often chose to sample tasters of everything lol. I'll weigh next week so as not to upset myself just yet haha
Staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful, and made you feel welcome.
Nightly entertainment, and happy hour made drinks reasonable, but it did take us a little while to work out which bar had offers and what times.
Good old fashioned entertainment nightly, catering for all ages at hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed dancing away to some old tunes I'd not heard for years :-)
Rooms cleaned daily, towels changed, and pool towels supplied daily too.
Go ahead and book, but try to make the most of the surrounding little bars, restaurants too, there are some lovely spots to sit and eat, drink and people watch.
Hotel Angela are upgrading and I think they're doing a great job. I look forward to checking out the next phase x

Came home today from this place back to rainy Wales :( I can only echo what has already been said, this place is a fantastic hotel.... It's spotlessly clean, in a great location, great food, excellent friendly helpful staff!! And three (2hr) Happy Hours ;-)

It's a two minute walk to the beach, literally across the road!

My Fiancé and I were almost the youngest guests at 36 lol, this hotel is aimed at older people so the entertainment is a little dated but the mature guests, who return year after year, are incredibly friendly and welcoming and made our stay even more enjoyable!! We were looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday and we couldn't be more happier with our time there.

The infinty pool is small but perfect for watching the world go by from the edge of the pool, there's a pool table, ping pong table and massages available.. Go there relax and enjoy!!

This was our second visit this year and although we still think its a lovely hotel when we booked it was Adults only BUT I now see that Thomson have changed it to a couples hotel, that means any one can go and there were children there and the pool although lovely was at times full of floats, jumbo rings and li los and even a child snorkelling Don't want to sound like a old misery but if I book a adult only holiday that's what I want.I have also noticed that a Adult only holiday I booked with Thomson for October has also been changed to a couples hotel.
But the Angela is a good hotel that we have been to many times but will not return as it is not Adults only any more..

Room Tip: Pay the extra for sunny side before you travel as cheaper with Thomson when we booked.

Hotel is well situated, with the beach just over the road in front of the hotel. There are too many people for the sunbeds, but as the sun does not tend to reach all the sunbeds to mid morning, going to the beach made sense. Most Angela guests seem to use the Yaramar sunbeds at 5e for two people, with a glass of sangria.
The rooms are small and basic, there are tea and coffee making facilities, with a hairdryer and flat screen tv (BB1/2 itv3/4 etc) and pool towels are provided.
The highlightlight of the hotel for me was the quality of the food, plentiful supply and varied. In addition, there are plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. 20 mins by bus (122) to Mijas (3.1e round trip). I enjoyed my week in the sun, very safe place to go with age range mainly 50+ although the resort caters for lots of Spanish and European families.

I recently spent a week away with my best friend at the Angela hotel in Fuengirola and have to say it was excellent. The hotel was friendly and welcoming and the staff more than ready to cater to your needs. The rooms were clean and spacious and the hotel itself very well situated.Only 2mins from a very clean beach. The food was excellent with a wide variety to suit all tastes. However we felt it catered for an older clientele with regards to evening entertainment but this didn't prove to be a problem as the streets of Fuengirola are littered with a wide array of bars to suit all tastes. If you want to take a trip out this can be organised by the hotel.Or if you are feeling more adventurous the train station, bus station and ferry are all within a ten minute walk of the hotel. My friend and I would definitely stay here again.
