“Average 3 star hotel not 4 star”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in March 2013. We thought it was "OK" for the price. We
have previously stayed at the Gardenia Park Hotel (3 Star) on 3 occasions and found it excellent but it was not available this year due to re-furbishment?
We got a good deal through Thomas Cooks for this stay (£158 for half board) Pity the food wasn't better,

Room Tip: try and get a room at the end of the building so you don't get too much noise from next door(the...

We spent a week at this hotel and found it central to beach and train the only problem is we got off in fuengerola train station instead of torroblanca, then the hotel is less than 5 minutes away to get the train to fuengerola it costs € 1.70 pp but can be walked but a good distance.
i would like to give Dominiques resturant a mention we ate there a few times and always lovely and only 10 mins walk from hotel .i was dissappointed we didnt have a better view of the sea but overall we enjoyed our stay and would return

Room Tip: we stayed in rm 416 with only partial sea view

This Hotel is advertised as a 4 star hotel and Spa. It is not. Might just about make 3 stars on a good day.
The reception area is dingy and that is the only place you can get Wifi and even then it is not very good.
Food was at best adequate, lots of Mushrooms, which I cannot eat. Only 3 or 4 main dishes, so if you do have allergies or dislikes, you are restricted in what you can have.
Through a serious design fault, you can hear everything that is being said in the room next door, even what is on the TV.
They have recently put wood floors in the rooms and hallways, so you cannot hear people walking above you as you probably would have prior to this.
The location is quite good as it is close to the beach, bus stops are near as well.
I would recommend this hotel though.

Hotels in a ideal location.. near the beach... near the train station... fantastic cheap supermarket over the road.

Good Points...
Lovely indoor pool ideal for when it rained which it did. Must wear a swimming cap tho. Great little kids play area, ideal for mam to catch the rays whilst kids played very happy!!! Lovely garden area with loungers.

Excellent quick check in, allocated room 431 fantastic room for the sun on balcony on an afternoon. Room furniture basic but spotless clean. Beds very hard be warned if you don't like a very firm mattress you will suffer from back ache I did. Fridge in room, TV has 2 English channels BBC1 & BBC2. Cleaned every day with clean towels.

Food good in restaurant better in the evening than breakfast. On evening meals the roast potatoes are delicious, my 2 children went crazy for them. Plenty of choice even my fuzzy 10 year old had no complaints!!

Bad points....
Hotel is full on Spanish Pensioners aswell of lots of English Pensioners but the Spanish one's do overrun the hotel, You get in there way god do you know, One poor English lady was getting out of the lift with myself & kids she was on crutches the Spanish lady wanted out 1st and just pushed her over to be out 1st falling on to me with no apologies.

The walls are very very thin you do hear everything going on around you, every day after dinner & 1st thing every morning the man in room next to me was vomiting definitely not what you want to hear but you cant not hear everything.

Room Tip: Rooms facing pool on left hand side of pool area catch the sun

The hotel is kept very clean, the bedroom walls are very thin and you can hear everything from the adjoining rooms. The food is adequate and plentiful but don't expect top quality. The position of the hotel is very good for public transport train station 2 minute walk as is the bus stop.
Overall you get what you pay for if you want a better standard of hotel you will pay a lot more elsewhere.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room if not full.

This hotel is a great place.......near the beach .......near the shops ..... the train . The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I have stayed here twice and each time i have enjoyed my stay. The food is very good, has a variety of main dishes and delicious deserts, I will be going again this August and instead of half board , will be going full board! The bedrooms are on the small side however, but your out all day, soaking up the sun or going on day trips to Marbella (You can get the bus from Fuengerola , straight to Marbella for a few Euro.) I would recommend this hotel for an enjoyable holiday in Fuengerola .

Looking for a cheap winter break with the chance of sun, then this hotel is an option. i've just spent four nights there. The thin walls are a problem that could be easliy solved by spending a little bit of money by the hotel. Another concern is the housekeeping. the rooms are cleaned to a fashion, if you happen to be in the room when the cleaners arrive, the room will be cleaned properly, if your out, the floor wont be cleaned and no dusting takes place. Its a pity because other than this, its a good 3 star hotel in a good location, great transport links, train and bus within 2mins, taxi rank outside. Food is good buffet style and staff are helpful. Both bars are good and entertaiment, allthough typical Spanish, ( you are in Spain ) is very good. Drinks can be expensive but several local bars close by, supermarket across street, beach and shops 2 hundred yards away, across or under busy main road .If the hotel owners would spend a little to solve room noise problem and housekeeping was looked at, this would be a very good 3 and half star hotel in the best costa in Spain at any time of year.

Room Tip: If possible get a room at either end of hotel, that way you only hear snoring from one side or buy e...
