the hotel was comfortable and in a quiet location although as it was November everywhere was fairly quiet. We were half board and the evening meal, although fairly repetitive was good enough and plentiful but I have never known such a poor breakfast. I didn't think it was possible to have a bad breakfast but I now know different. The orange juice was not juice but squash, the muesli had cornflakes and other cereals in it, the coffee was abysmal. Luckily we took a kettle as there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. We had a double room which had a double bolster pillow and my neck has never been the same since, if you have room take a pillow!

After considering other hotels and resorts this year, my friend and i decided to return to Las Piramides for the 2nd year running. We were not disappointed. The high standards which were encountered last year were still there. All the staff, from the receptionists to the cleaners( who incidentally kept our room spotless), were very helpful. The food at mealtimes was always plentiful, and the choice excellent. The price of drinks, both soft and alcoholic, was not more expensive than anywhere else in the resort The proximity to the promenade and the beach is excellent. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is run down.
The rooms are old and tired and need of a major refurb.
We had huge marks on our carpet, our beds were uncomfortable and there was a weird smell coming from the curtains.
The hotel is understaffed. There was only 1 porter on duty when we arrived and he was worked off his feet. He was covered in sweat. It is mainly a group hotel and there are a lot of arrivals at once. After waiting more than an hour for one of our bags to arrive in our room, I decided to go to the lobby to retrieve our other one.
The dinner buffet was awful.
The chefs obviously have no pride left.
The mushroom soup tasted like it was from a can and was watered down.
The salads tasted strange.
Everything was too salty.
It was worse than canteen food.
We hardly ate anything and left hungry.
There is no in room wifi however there is free wifi in the lobby.
I would not stay there again.

Just back from my 2nd stay at the Pyramides. My room was excellent, comfortable & quiet. The huge balcony overllooking the beach was excellent. Breakfast was very good (seems to open about 7.30am even though it says 8.00am), plentiful & ticked all the boxes - excellent, helpful waiters (Oscar in particular). I chose b&b so my evening meal could be my own choice. My friends who live over there introduced me to a cracking local restaurant, the Cala Luna - leave Pyramides main entrance, turn right, 5 minute walk in a straight line till you come to a small square & it's over on the left. The salmon pate or mushroom croquette starters were my favourite. Steaks were excellent. One good thing is that you are not disturbed outside by looky-looky men selling tat. This restaurant is used by locals & golfers in the know! Enjoy the Pyramides - I certainly did & have already booked for April 2013.

This is a superb 4 star hotel, very close to the centre of Fuengirola,a five minute
walk on the flat, to all the shops and restaurants Parking is very easy, at no cost.
The bedrooms are very comfortable, and the hotel is always very busy.

The large pool area has plenty of beds, and a magnificent pool.
There are plenty of very good and reasonably priced restaurants within a
ten minute walk.

Room Tip: If you like to sit in the sun on the balcony from lunchtime to 7 o'clock, I suggest you ask for...

We had a junior suite, where you have a small living room with tv and a frige. There was a nice balcony which strangely enough only had one chair. We had a good sea view.
The room is ok, but a bit old. In general I would say the hotel is ok, but it would not hurt to give i a coat of paint and maybe change some of the furniture.
The beds are a bit hard, but I guess it is individual how you like the bed.
It is not very expensive, so I guess you cannot expect a luxury hotel.
I have seen a lot of comments about the breakfast buffet. I thought it was fine. Not especially fancy, but a good selection of food.
Service was good, however it is a bit strange that in a hotel where it is almost only foreigners who stay, you have waiters that hardly speak english.

Room Tip: The junior suite was good and had a sea front view. Many of the other rooms you have to learn over t...
