The hostel is terrible! The corridors and the rooms smell quite bad, it's really noisy, especially at night & early morning, the room is freezing during winter (we had one warm blanket in our room for 4), the staff are not willing to help, there's no wi-fi... If possible, book rooms elsewhere.

rooms clean and basic , single beds (in all rooms) were relatively comfortable , toilet & shower clean , plenty of hot water , ceiling fan and freestanding fan ,beds made and bins emptied every day , notice on back of door stated towels changes Mon Weds Fri . Rooms over 3 floors (none on ground floor) small lift available. some overlook central covered courtyard (my sisters room had no natural light) Our room was at front with patio doors/balcony and window in large shower room . Church opposite has bells (expect them to be rung anytime between 8am and midnight) 5 minute walk from Los Boliches station (25 mins from Malaga Airport at a cost of a couple of euro) and about the same stroll from the lovely sandy beach and sun soaked promenade with loads of cafes/bars/restaurants. We went out to meet up with family who live there so knew we would just be sleeping/showering there and it suited us fine for 3 nights . I would suggest you take a travel kettle though if you like a cuppa before bed or early in the morning , loads of bars etc , but not before 8.30am !

I booked 4 nights here but could only suffer this place for 2 i went and slept on my friends floor i had paid £100 up front to stay here i am gutted i wasted my money, the smell i could not describe but it was not pleasant, there are no windows in the room to let any air in, you have no idea what time of day it is, The noise is terrible all tvs / radios / shouting / doors banging all day & night, there was a floor standing fan which i kept on constant just to get rid of the smell and drowned the noise out, i could hear next door in their bathroom, the pipes rattling every time they turned the tapes on pulled the chain, there is a window in the shower which looks out onto the landing for anyone to look in, I did not feel safe here as a lady on my own there was one tiny lock on the inside of the door i had to pull the chest of drawers infront of this both nights as my handle was tried in the early hours of my first night, i would never ever recommend this place to any one, my friends paid just £58 more than me for a one bed appartment on the sea front i would strongly advise you go down this route if you are thinking of going to fuengirola,

Very good location, less than 100m from los boliches train stn, 30 seconds away from the beach. The rooms were basic with fresh bedding however we noticed that the cleaners hadnt removed 2 empty beer cans. The hostel had internet access, telephones and a tv in the room. When we first got to our room our initial thought was it was a bit grotty, but it was cleaned daily. I wouldnt stay here again, as i had higher expectations, but in all honestly i dont think i'd go back fuengirola. . . .it reminded me of blackpool with sun and a nicer beach.

We booked what we thought was a cheap n cheerful place for one night as we were meeting friends for dinner.
We arrived, wasnt impressed but changed and went out.
We returned at midnight to realise the true horror of the place. The room was filthy, the fan was broken which we reported and was told nothing could be done til the following day!
Then the parties started! At 2 am I decided to sleep in the car,but sadly returned a its a bit dangerous to do that! At 4 am I had had enough, none of us had any sleep. We packed and went down to reception where we complained calmy about everything. This guy disappeared and returned with a guy in his pants! He basically told us what do you expect! We argued for about 10 minutes and then left before my husband thumped someone!

If you think about going staying at Pension Santa Fe; DON'T! We were placed in a room faced inwards to the "patio", which in fact is not an outdoor room, but a hall with a roof, making the air not exactly fresh... As the room did not have air conditioning, we had to leave the window open resulting in not only exposing ourself to the other guests at the pension (who weren't exactly the nicest people), but also to listen to all the sounds and noices from the other rooms... The "air" from the "patio" felt really recirculated, utilized over and over again...

The beds were both too short and really unconfortable. You could feel the springs in the mattress stinging your back. Since we had to spend the night with an open window with no privacy what so ever, we felt both unconfortable and insecure. We therefore had to sleep with our clothes on, even if the temperature reached a very high level.

It felt so bad that we asked for another room, facing the street, so we at least could have som fresh air. They said they could not do anything. We left to try to find another place to sleep in the middle of the night, but could not find another room. We really considered to spend the night on a bench outside (no kidding!).

We had travelled a long way and were really tired, so this was a horrible night. The personnell couldn't even do anything about the other guests shouting in the hallway telling others to "shut the f*** up" when they were spoken to.

The next morning, when we again stated our disconfort, they all of a sudden offered us a room facing the street. I do not think this room had been occupied the night before as this was really early in the morning, and it would have been impossible to tide it in such a short amount of time. This lead us to understand that there had in fact been another room available the entire time - what a lack of service!!!

We decided to leave, even if we had booked and paid for one more night. We searched for a new hotel at the cyber cafe situated in the lobby, surrounded by other visitors wathing porn while children were in the same room...

This place should have been shut down by the authorities!!!
