“Could live here!!!!!”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

We asked for a low floor and were given one on the 1st floor. Ideal for access to the restaurant and pool.
On arrival the friendly reception staff greeted us and explained about the facilities. The apartment was brilliant and, with a bit of tweaking, my wife and I decided that you could quite easily live there. One or two snags like new bracket to hold the shower head (done same day) and shower mat required (not done at all) Also the shower screen had at some time been removed and replaced with a curtain (not ideal) So it seems all our complaints centred round the shower!
The kitchen contained all the necessary appliances and the beds were very comfortable. The lounge was very spacious with a couple of decent English channels on the TV.
There was plenty of choice for dinner with a soup, a good selection of salads and a nice varity of fish and meat dishes. The bar/restaurant manager seemed a bit aloof at first but gradually chilled.
Breakfast was ok and we had no complaints.
The block is well situated, nice stroll to the beach and bars/restaurants and is only a couple of minutes from the station.
All in all a great stay and we will definitely go back.

The apartments are just that APARTMENTS. Do not go looking for a hotel with entertainment etc. YOU WONT GET IT.
These apartments are fantastic. The staff are so so helpful. Augusta and her team on reception do anything they can for you
In the restaurant Raffiel Paco Wann and the new team will do what they can.
I have stayed here 3 time now and love it as a base. You can get the train at the bottom off the road for just over 2 euros to Malaga and right to the airport too. The hotel is right above a huge Mercadona so you do not have to worry about shopping for water etc. you can even take the trolly up in the lift and return it when your done. This place has free wifi and also a washing machine GODSEND it is. a full kitchen and lovely views over the footballl pitch to the front off the building and to up the hill towards Mjias to the back over the pool. Perfect base and clean too. The beds are comfy towels etc extra pillows anything you ask for you will be given it. ENJOY YOUR STAY. WE DO.. going back in 3 weeks and again for 5 weeks over christmas.

Room Tip: If you want to know anythin gask AUGUSTA the lady on reception. Good English speaker. Rooms over the...

We stayed in the nuriasol apts in june for 10 days. We did the same last year. There a great base and los boliches is a very nice area. The pool is shut at 8pm. No one minds you having your own food and drink at the pool. The bar shuts at 12pm, So the noise from drunk idiots is minimal. Theres quite a lot of male golf groups, But there all mostly well behaved, There wifes will be glad to know that lol. Any one can find fault with any where or any rooms etc. But you will pay 3 or 400 pound more to stay in fuengirola and you will feel well let down after staying in the nuriasol apts, los boliches.

Room Tip: The apts have a large cheap supermarket underneath them. So its perfect for fresh food on a daily ba...

we booked the apartment through lastminute.com. Had read some mixed reviews but on the whole felt happy about what we had booked. The first thing i would say is dont pay for expensive transfers from the airport. The station is straight outside the airport and there is one line, going to Malaga and Fuengirola. You cant go wrong. We got off the stop at Los Boliches having paid 2Euro's. The hotel is literally 2 minutes walk up the bank. The staff were lovely, and extremely helpful. One of the receptionists was able to give us instructions on how to get the bus to the village of Mijas. The room was spacious, clean and tidy. It was cleaned every 2 days with fresh towels. We didnt use the pool, bit too noisy for us but looked lovely with lots of sun loungers. Also we didnt use the restaurant or bar, we didnt need to as there was a supermarket right below the apartment. Our room was at the front of the hotel which on reflection we were glad about as this meant we didnt get the noise from the pool. We could see the sea from our balcony (admittedly with the hotels in the way), we also had the small football stadium directly ahead. We spent every evening before we went out watching the youth teams train, and in the mornings the pensioners doing their aerobic exercises. Dont be put off by this, its not noisy at all. As for Los Boliches, a lovely resort with a glorious beach, again 5 mins walk away. I would definitely recommend drinking and eating in the local bars and restaurants as opposed to the british ones, the food, service and price of drinks were amazing...not one bad meal. Can thoroughly recommend Tapas at El Rio. Would definitely go back to the resort and the hotel. One last thought...pay a visit to the village of Mijas..its amazing! a train to Fuengirola, then the bus up, takes all of 30 minutes.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front, particularly if you like football.

We booked this last minute, through bookableholdays.com (teletext holidays), whilst booking I read the reivews, but because we had to book there and then I had to go with it we had no choice it was a last minute to take my hustand's children (13 and 15) away.

I read with trepidation the reivews and then wished I hadn't booked, spent the next few days worrying about security, cleanliness etc etc, even pursuaded my stepson not to take his laptop to do his schoolwork as I was worried it would be stolen.

All I can say is DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The place could not have been nicer. The staff on arrival were friendly and helpful. You have to hire a safe - but its only a few Euros and it would have in fact fitted a laptop into it.

The apartments were large, well equipped, full sized proper cooker, microwave, huge fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, TV, dining table & Chairs, two double sofa beds, a huge bedroom with two further double beds and a bathroom with good shower clean and exceedingly comfortable beds. We had our towels changed twice and our bed linen changed once in the 7 days we were there which I think is excellent serivce.

We went half board as the kids are funny with food - we managed to eat very well all week. The staff in the restaurant do not speak very good English but we managed to communicate with actions which made it really fun.

The pool is small, but adequate as we spent all the time on the beach. There is a spa and gym but we never went to it. Plenty of public toilets by the pool, in the bar and in reception.

The apartments are a five minute walk from a lovely clean beach where you can hire two sunbeds and a parasol for 9 Euros - they were also very comfy.

There is a very good supermarket located underneath the apartments but this is closed on a Sunday but if you go out of the block and walk one block down there is another big supermarket underneath a department store that is open 7 days a week.

I would thoroughly recommend staying here - we would definately go back. Do not believe all the nasty reviews you read.

Loved this place from the word go . Two minutes up the road from Los Boliches train station Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful . We were short mugs , maybe the previous occupants broke/stole them !!!! Anyway as soon as we mentioned the problem , a lady from housekeeping called and did a full inventory . We ended up with all the cooking equipment we'd ever need , in fact , we used none of it as there was such a selection of restaurants and cafes 5 minutes away . The rooms were spotless and the air conditionong was fantastic . Even did the washing before we left . The pool is clean , no shortage of beds and parasols and even a lifeguard . If you are lokking for someplace central , then look no further .

We went with a little trepidation due to the numerous and I now feel unwarranted bad press.
We travelled via the fantastic rail system from the airport. £75 for a transfer with Thompson holidays is absolutely scandalous. 15 euros for the 3 of us return is marvellous. Arrived at Los Boliches took a minute or two to get our bearings and found the hotel in 5 mins. Check in was okay, did have a little difficulty trying to get a kettle, but got 1 eventually, never got a teapot.
(I don't honestly think they know what one is :)). Everything was within walking distance & whoever thought of building a Supermarket below the hotel was a genius. All the food you could want & their home brand was very good, good offers on wine. Fresh & warm baguettes every morning. A few restaurants about good deals made it hardly with cooking for ourselves given the excellent exchange rate. 1.25/£. Used the washing machine in the room last day to wash all our togs & have them nice n dry for coming back. Safety, didn't have a problem staff very friendly and a security guard wandering round the corridors. All in all had a great holiday and would recommend the hotel to anybody. If your reading this in the hotel Get some teapots we Brits like our cuppa in the morning :)
