Carmona itself is a place you must try to visit; typical Andalusian white painted houses, narrow cobbled streets, small churches and then this incredible fort or at least the remains of it. The sheer scale of it blows you away, you ask yourself, how did they build this? Which brings me round to the lack of an audio guide, it would help. But don't let it put you off, its cheap to see the place and our money goes towards further preservation work, the views of both the new and old town from the tower make it all worth while. By the way we had lunch afterwards at the Almazara de Cormona...the best.
