“Treated like royalty”

We had lunch on a rainy day in this small restaurant and bar. It seemed unprepossessing and I have to say I wasn't expecting anything special, but it was just fantastic. The welcome and service were faultless. For a delicious three-course lunch for two including two glasses of wine and a beer the total bill was €20. The waiter was unfailingly courteous and attentive, even to the rude and demanding party on an adjoining table. The particular highlights were a delicious plate of warm spinach and a really tasty and beautifully tender pork stew.

“Incredible service, great little bar”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

Unbelievable service from Manola who we found out used to work for Parador Hotels. The service is second to none and it shows he used to work in 5 star establishments. I've never seen a banana peeled in the way he does it. His attention to detail is incredible. The food is typical Spanish tapas, but Manolo makes it an incredible experience. There is a set menu of 3 courses or tapas/half-rations/ration. He personally makes the oil/vinegar dressing in front of you. Generous sized tapas at only 2€ each and very reasonable priced drinks - and he keeps topping up the wine! He even gave us a hot brandy on the house. The dessert was created in front of us and was a work of art, it was a pity to eat it. We tried this place on recommendations from Trip advisor comments and they are 100% accurate.

“The finest service and food”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

We sat down in the sunshine for a Tapa lunch at a wee outdoor restaurant beside the Seville gate in Carmona. Our waiter gave us the best and most professional attention that I have experienced for a long time. The dressing for our salad was mixed at our table and presented in a manner that reminded me of an oriental tea ceremony in its care and artistry and the taste was superb. The other tapa we had were all expertly cooked and presented. The wine selection was very good and reasonabley priced.
Overall the meal was very reasonable priced considering the location and quality of service.
This is a restaurant worth travelling to experience and its standards of customer service were absolutely first class and could teach the Parador in Carmona a great deal.

“Fantastic food & Manolos charisma and service. Wow ow”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

Stayed at the fantastic parador but ate at Muralla. The food was fantastic and the service even better. Manolo took such great care of us all and with a flair and style all of his own. His attention to detail was second to none and we just trusted him to choose the food and the amount. He could read us well and gave us just what we needed. It was a fabulous evening and we paid a small price for a wonderful feast. We lived in Spain for 8 years but this was something to remember.

“Great service, friendliness and price worthy”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

During our two day visit to Carmona we looked for this place for a dinner after having read all the good reviews about it. They proved very much to be right.

The premises are set just inside the old city wall when entering through the main gate in very simple an unassuming premises with only a handful of tables but do not let the latter discourage you. The waiter/owner went out of his way make us feel welcome and comfortable, explaining the menue to us, topping up our wine glasses without asking and offering aperitifs and digestifs on the house. The menue was quite extensive for such a small place, the food not complicated but good Spanish home cooking and a 3 course meal for two with beer and wine came to a total of 23 Euros which certainly was extremely price worthy.

I admit that giving the highest rating to this place may be a bit generous on my part considering the simplicity of the place and the food, but the genuine friendliness and the hospitality of the owner combined with honest cooking and friendly prices made our evening. This establishment certainly deserves to survive Spain's current hardships.
