“Interesting”
Reviewed March 17, 2014

The Dolmen de Menga is interesting. There is public parking that is free if one enters the compound. From the parking one has to go up the hill where one can find the dolmen. A dolmen is a megalithic tomb and it is amazing how the large stones were put in place.

“Quite and hauntingly nice”
Reviewed January 10, 2014

Slightly off the beaten track but well worth going. A tip "remember to walk around the outside anti clockwise to build the energy and feel the vibes before you enter and enjoy".

“Historic Dolmens in Antequera”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

I visited both the Menga and Viera megaliths in Antequera. They date from 25 - 20,000 years old and are some of the best preserved of their type in Europe, up there with Newgrange I would say. You can go inside them too, which is nice. The young lady at reception was very helpful and put on a very informative video (not too long) which I watched before I went in. This gave me a lot more information about their creation, as well as the area at time and the conditions that they were built in, and made my subsequent visit all the more enjoyable. The dolmens are only a 15 minute walk from Antequera town centre. The Romeral dolmen is a little further out.
