A lovely location and building, staff were very nice and helpful, but more care on details needed for it to be truly a five star hotel. A few bits in the room, building and spa were simply not top notch: repairs to walls/ceilings/windows/tiles needed. Great views of El Torcal and lots of birds around.

Very beautiful hotel with an amazing landscape. I had the opportunity to go there for lunch and a drink and was amazing. 100% recommended for visiting or staying. The only problem is that it is a little bit far away from Antequera so you will need a car or taxi to go there.

Stayed here in November 2018 for our wedding anniversary. Stunning hotel in a very picturesque and quiet location. Rooms were excellent and very comfortable and the bathroom was a very good size with a bath and separate shower. Restaurant was excellent, we had the taster menu and all courses were excellent and the choice of wines was very good. The pool was very good and of a good size and is indoor. There is a nice walk into Antequera from here which is about 4.5km each way and takes you past the golf course, which is close by and is a very nice, tricky course to play.

Room tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel have a better view

Located 10 minutes outskirts of Antequera and part of a golfing complex. The views are stunning with El Torcal close by and surrounded by olive groves. The hotel has been converted from a convent and retained much of its peaceful ambience. The bedrooms are very comfortable, a good size with lovely large bathrooms. Facilities are good and include a spa, nice indoor swimming pool, sauna and Turkish Bath. The restaurant serves excellent breakfast and the dinner ( we chose the €42 taster menu). This might sound a lot but include 3 glasses of good wine and 5 courses that are as good as Michelin star restaurants we’ve been to. You can also eat in the bar area. Parking is onsite and free. Wi-fi is also free and good speed.

The hotel has a large feel to it but only contains about 18 bedrooms. So unless there is a conference, wedding or golfing party there it’s likely you will see few guests. In some ways it feels like a small hotel or large well equipped guest house. You will get plenty of peace! The staff members are great and work hard. There doesn’t appear to be a high guest/staff ratio so don’t expect to be constantly approached.

Overall a beautiful place , classic not contemporary. A lovely 3 night stay, could have easily stayed a week and would highly recommend. Note it’s a good centre to visit El Torcal, Caminito del Rey. Lobos Park and Antequera itself. It lols as if the inland areas of Andalucia are gaining greater investment and popularity. Visit before it’s too crowded!
