We happened upon this small tapas bar in Algeciras after a long hike around Gibraltar. It was the second day of Carnaval and many of the bars and restaurants were either full of boisterous people or weren't serving food. The staff of Meson Las Duelas were just opening up for the evening. It was quite and intimate. The daily tapas were displayed in glass cases on the counter. We ordered four meat plates and two fish plates and left it up to the staff to choose for us. That was an excellent decision. The food was delicious and we ordered a third fish plate, again their choice. We finished the meal sharing two desserts (one chocolate, one fruit tart). The total bill was just over 23 euros and that included three 'jarras' of beer. If I'm ever in Algeciras again, I would definitely eat here again and again and again.
