We were a couple looking for a nice relaxing 5* hotel with the usual swimming pool & spa area, but this was definitely not the place for that. I don't know what to start with, but let me say first of all that is it NOT a 5* hotel, and we do have hotels to compare with.
Having a swimming pool and a jacuzzi does not simply make a hotel a 5* one. I would think it also needs the service, better rooms, better food.
Everything that was said bad in previous reviews and that we chose very silly to ignore, is true.
Breakfast is just bad bad bad, they put two slices of orange in the worst concentrated juice you could ever drink, they had a single type of very bad white bread, coffee was tasteless, the food selection was extremely limited, the "simple omelet" had an odd, greenish color etc.
A very odd thing, the waitresses were cleaning the breakfast tables with small vacuums all the time, it was rather annoying and very noisy. A simple napkin might have done a better job.
The interior design, though it might seem interesting in the pictures, is overwhelming in a bad way. There is iron everywhere in the room, and we were thinking a small child might easily get hurt in some of those iron leaves from the bed.
As somebody else pointed out, for sure they did not have an architect design the interior of the hotel or of the rooms. There is a bit of everything: Lebanese paintings, Romanian traditional ceramics, Egyptian decorations, wannabe Greek painting at the entrance, shinny shinny chandelier, glass stairs...Some people might like it, we hated it.
I was used to the nice silky, radiant clean linens from nice hotels, the one here were clean, but disturbingly shinny and slippery.
The bell boys are extremely polite and they do clean your cars from snow, but the good service stops here. I complained on several occasions at the reception that the jacuzzi is filthy, and eventually action was taken, and the jacuzzi was just dirty after that...
Someone was talking about nouveau riche childless couples...my comment here is that they do have kinds now :) We had to argue with a lady that was smoking in the hallway in front of our poorly isolated room, in a non-smoking area. There was another one learning how to swim one evening, screaming and splashing everyone in the pool.
We did not dare to try the restaurant in the evening, so we went in the evening to Cabana Vanatorilor, which is very close and very nice.
We were there in January, but there were still parties with music going on, and as we were on the first floor, and given the huge central open space and the lack of any sound isolation, the noise was quite big. Fortunately, the party was not very live and it ended relatively early.
To conclude, this is not your usual 5* hotel, and not in a good way.

If you want to replace the city routine with a romantic style, exotic, then feel free to come to Predeal Confort Suites. It is a unique experience where you will receive quality service, warm atmosphere, excellent food. The view from the room terrace was amazing. Speaking of service, always someone was cleaning the room and the snow from cars in the parking. In the bathroom you could find a lot of amenities, bath salt, comb, etc.. I was impressed with the design because it was different from other hotels. The linen was soft and silky; large enough pool, jacuzzi, sauna, fitness room, you cannot get bored.

Came on honeymoon from California, USA. Made reservations 2 months in advance via Yahoo Messenger, at 4 AM their time, super service. The honeymoon suite room was very nice, VERY clean and with the modern amenities available. Been to several hotels in Romania and this was the BEST and I highly recommend it. Find a website with pictures of hotel and you can get a better idea.

I loved my stay in Predeal Comfort Suites!!! It is just the best place to choose in this resort. Ok, it might not be the classic 5 star hotel...but it certainly is the best in the whole area. And I've stayed everywhere around. The spa is wonderful...The rooms are so cute designed and the bath tubs are as huge as the bathrooms. The staff is very pleasent and willing to help the guests and the price is quite resonable comparing to the other hotels.

A very odd experience.
Rooms are very nice and comfortably furnished with huge bathroom. Decoration not to my style (lots of wrought iron, 4 poster bed) but quite well done and also clean. Big bathrooms with a jacuzzi bath.
Hotel is decorated in the most bizarre style. It feels (and looks) more like an 80's nightclub than a hotel. All rooms are off a central atrium which has a glass elevator and glass stairs.
Chrome verywhere, along with strange middle eastern very heavy oil pictures. I think the owner is from Lebanon or somewhere. Definitely not Romania.

Pool area was very nice.

It felt like the target market were nouveau riche childless couples wanting a weekend away from Bucharest.

Staff were friendly, but the food, as in many other Romanian hotels, was a disappointment.
We were with a group and had a buffet dinner on our first night - the main course was sauteed lambs kidneys - WHY? Who does that and thinks its going to be fine for a party of 15? Other dishes on other occasions (eg chicken) were way overcooked.
Breakfast was also a disappointment.
