Placed inside the citadel walls, this is one of two majestic cathedrals standing one beside the other.Very nice rehabilitated, painted in bright colors.Surrounded by a beautiful open porch with large arches supported on columns with capitals and a lovely inner garden.

A fine example of an Orthadox cathedral. Was being set up for a concert, which should imagine would sound fantastic

A very wonderful cultural and historical place. Don't miss it even you are not ortodox. Enjoy the great architecture.

The cathedral is connected to the coronation of the Romanian kings and queens. It should be also seen if you visit the Alba Carolina old citadel. It also has a beautiful architecture and the entrance is free.

The Cathedral is inside the Alba Carolina Citadel. The Cathedral has it's own entrance and a very nice court yard. It's a place of serenity. The Cathedral is quite small on the inside. From the outside it appears to be quite large buildings, it has really thick walls.

We visited the Cathedral in November 2015 and there were renovations taking place inside the Cathedral.
