Stayed here with partner and friends recently, had a such a great time I felt compelled to write my first tripadvisor review, from the friendly girls on the desk to the attentive floor staff this hotel screams " customer service" the managers berty and jeff were always around with help in any queries and we felt in good hands , restaurant is top notch and the bar food is quick and good value, I will not only recommend this hotel I will be back to visit again!! Great place great staff,,, thanks again

No receptionist on duty when we arrived, took us an hour to get booked in. When the receptionist showed up she was downright rude. We were waiting another hour before getting served food and when we complained we were told it wasn't mcdonalds we were in. I travel this direction a good bit and I will never consider this hotel again.

Room Tip: Ask fo one thats not two miles away from the reception desk

I recently spent a night here with friends and have to say I would highly recommend it to anyone. There was 4 friends staying and we were all able to get a room together which was great the standard of the room was excellent. We dined in the Old House restaurant which is in the hotel and the food was absolutely amazing. I have stayed in hotels before where the hotel restaurant was totally sub standard but I have to say this restaurant has the wow factor. The restaurant itself is really warm and unusal in a good way with stone decor and even private area if couples or smal party wanted privacy. The staff were really helpful and courteous but the main star was the food. Everything we ordered was so tasty and really well presented. It was nice to feel like the chef takes pride in the food as I have often come away froma meal feeling like the food was just thrown on the plate. i would highly recommend anyone who is into their food to take a trip down here as it is well worth it. After our meal we headed into the hotel bar which we thought would be fairly boring, but we ended up having a great night with a band and DJ and didnt even have to venture up to the town for a drink as we had it all where we were. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone for a night away as it has everything you need all under one roof!!

My husband and myself had occasion to visit Mullingar on business. Based on the good reviews published, we chose this Hotel and booked an Executive Double Room. On arrival we went to reception where there was no-one on duty.We waited. One person rushed out of the office which was behind the reception desk, walked past us totally ignoring us. We waited. Eventually another person arrived at the desk and attended to us. We were given directions to our room which was of average size. We noticed the carpet was stained in several places. For whatever reason, there was a piece of material cut out from the end of the duvet cover! The bathroom had mould around the bath and the corners of the shower door were dirty. The tiling needed re-grouting in several places as it was missing. The overall impression was grubby. I will say that the bed was very comfortable with good quality pillows, however, I fail to see how this hotel has a 4 star rating as the attention to detail in the housekeeping department was decidedly lacking. In my opinion it would struggle to maintain a 3 star rating. As it was a Sunday when we stayed there, the restaurant was closed and we had dinner in the bar. I can only describe the food as average - nothing special. To be fair, the service in the bar was polite and efficient. What we could not understand was that wine was served only in quarter bottles, we were informed by the waitress that they had no full bottles available!! We would not be in any hurry whatsoever to make a return visit to Annebrook House Hotel should we find ourselves in Mullingar again.

We at the Annebrook House Hotel pride ourseleves on good customer service and were very dissapointed to have read about your experience today on Tripadvisor. On the rare occasions that we do recieve complaints we always try to rectify the situation there and then. There are always memebers of the management team and the hotel owner available on a daily basis should anyone have any problems with accomodation, service or anything else that may upset our guests. "The customer is King" at the Annebrook and we would hope that if you do return to us at the Annebrook House Hotel, we can ensure that your stay will be a memorable one for all the right reasons.

Free car parking followed by a quick, informative & friendly check in with no pre-authorising of my credit card requested & then, shown to our family apartment by the hotel's owner, our first impressions were good & rightly so as we had a great weekend at this hotel.
Our apartment was on the 3rd floor & was huge. With 2 large bedrooms, both en suite, living area, kitchen & large hallway, the apartment was more than big enough for a long term stay, let alone our weekend visit. All rooms had smoke alarms & radiators with trvs & there was also air conditioning. The tiled floor kitchen was fully equipped with microwave, kettle, toaster, 4 ring electric hob, oven, extractor hood, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, sink, granite worktop, tea/coffee & a full set of saucepans, plates, dishes, cutlery etc. The living area was bright, clean & spacious with oak veneered floor & had dining table, 4 chairs, leather sofa & armchair, coffee table, tv, dvd & a balcony which offered great views of the town park.
The bedrooms were both bright & clean. One had a double bed, a single bed, a safe & it's bathroom had a bath & shower screen. The other bedroom had a double bed & it's bathroom had no bath but did have a large shower enclosure (the positioning of the shower head in this room was a little on the low side owing to the shower tray being raised above the floor). Both bedrooms had oak veneered floors, large wardrobes, full length mirrors, hairdryers, leather armchairs, folding luggage racks, irons, & ironing boards (one with trouser press). The hotel was very busy over the weekend of our stay but we had absolutely no problems with noise at all.
Both bathrooms were big, clean, bright & modern with tiled floors, fixed head showers with good pressure, large mirrors, automatic ceiling extractor fans, dual voltage shaving sockets, toiletries & loads of towels.
Breakfast was served in a very bright & comfortable room with very friendly & helpful staff. Well cooked, there was plenty of choice with cereals, porridge, fruit slices, toast, brown bread, jams, marmalade, yoghurts, croissants, pastries, full fry, tea, coffee, flavoured teas & good quality fruit juices.
The bar was big & comfortable with plenty of seating & did a decent trade in bar food. It was busy on the occasions that we visited for a drink but we had no delays in getting served. The drinks prices were also quite reasonable, in my opinion.
The hotel has both outdoor & covered car parking. Complimentary national daily newspapers were available at both reception & the breakfast restaurant. On checking in we were given 3 room swipe cards & there is a lift in the apartments block.
The hotel is very well located in the town centre but in it's own grounds away from any passing traffic. It's right next to the town park with it's playgrounds, paths & small lake/large pond. There's a large Supervalu supermarket, McDonalds, Lotus Chinese Restaurant, all very close by as well as numerous other shops, restaurants, pubs etc within very short walking distances.
We had a very enjoyable stay in the Annebrook. All staff there were exceptionally friendly with particular mention to the reception staff & our room(s) was superb. The owner, Bertie, was always visible, always had time for a hello & a chat, always smiling & always helpful & so if you want the full Irish welcome, this hotel should be high on your list.
