“Ok for lightning stop”

We stayed here for one night on a totally unexpected trip. The hotel is nice, clean, big and the staff were friendly enough. This was a quick stop really so it would be unfair to give it a bad review or indeed a good review so i say what i thought in our very short stay.On arrival the welcome was nice and swiftly shown to our room. One thing i didnt like was walking through a bar to get to lifts to your rooms. At least we only had a bag but i wouldnt like to be hauling a suitcase through a bar.Anyway the rooms were spacious with all mod cons and a big bathroom and also a nice view out to the lakes.
The bar area was enormous with a wide selection of food and drinks with gas fires and music but sadly not to our taste on this night :-(.
I cant pass remark on food as believe it or not we didnt eat at all and that includes missing breakfast but what i seen been served up looked fabolous.Looking through menu in the room it seemed quite expensive and for room service its €5 per person which is crazy in my opinion.
Anyway not alot to say other than we enjoyed our night here with drinks but unfortuanetly didnt taste the cuisine but hotel is clean friendly with nice views.

We where mean't to have a break without children, my child minder not well. Brought children, please to see had kids club but because not enough children at it they couldnt go on morning and night club! Disappointing!
Room was clean & staff ok. Meal was average.
When we went to bed. Couldnt sleep with noise of bar & radiators made wooden wall bang & woke us a few times in middle of night. Only slept half night when I told receptionist not sympathetic & didn't even take something off bill in consideration of our sleepless night!!
Would I recommend...if and when they fix the problem & staff can be more friendly & improve kids club & noise!!!

Just home from a night away with hubby in Bloomfield House Hotel, Leisure Club & Spa. I booked it last w/e from a Lidl breaks email I received!
Bedroom lovely, mattress hard, which I prefer, but lighting in room not great (3 lamps and ceiling light). Good sized en-suite and shower great.
Unfortunately we didn't request a 'lake view' as didn't know to when booking, but will next time! The view from our room looked out over the outbuildings of the hotel, which are in need of a bit of a repair.
Can't praise the staff enough though, from check-in to check-out.They were all so attentive. Dinner was fab with great choice & very decent sized portions. I asked before ordering if the house white wine (by the glass) was dry, so was offered a taste first!
As I'm not a 'cooked breakfast' fan, I would have loved a choice of cheese, meats, bread rolls etc, but no choice of continental breakfast. Brown bread is gorgeous though! If I'd asked perhaps I'd have received, but didn't think to!
Well done to all the staff in hotel. You were fab!
Looking forward to visiting again and next time will definitely have a spa treatment.

Room Tip: Request a quiet room away from stairs & lift and with a lake view.

We recently staid for one night at the hotel. It is very clean, we were upgraded to a suite so the room was quiet spacious. The view of the lake is amazing, and most room have. All facilities were in place. Staff was mostly knowledgeable, however we did have some hiccups with the different offers and vouchers, which were sorted promptly. Great location, just off the N4 basically, and very close to Belvedere House. The food in the restaurant was also very good, and so was the wine.

Room Tip: Ask to be a quiet room, possibly away from potential noisy bunches...

Myself, husband and two children stayed here for 3 nights. the hotel is great very child friendly, great kids club, girls are fantastic at welcoming and settling children. We ate from bar carvery and restauran and it was fantastic. The bar food was fab and well priced. Parent and sister came to stay for one night so betwen us all we tasted most food on the menu and would definetly give it ten out of ten. Our Kids fussy eaters and nothing was a probletm. Gym well equipped, swimming pool jacuzzi etc spacious and clean. Wouldnt recommend for spa break. Playground small but sufficient beautiful walk to lake.

Just back from a four day, three night break at this holiday. Location was within easy reach from Dublin. The hotel staff were extremely friendly, nothing was too much bother.

We used the swimming pool, it was fine but I was rather concerned that there was no lifeguard on duty.

They ran a kids club but we didn't use it as our daughter is 14. There were lots of families with young children but they never disturbed us.

New Year's Eve was very disappointing - they had a band playing but they didn't start playing until 10:30 p.m. but it lacked atmosphere and was a bit of an anti climax.

All in all it was a very relaxing break but I don't think I would return.

Room Tip: We had a family room overlooking the lake - lovely scenary
