The Bloomfield is a lovely hotel located just outside Mullingar it has it's own excellent spa facilities that are well worth a try after a long day of business. Rooms are very clean and because it's out of town it is very quiet. The reataurant has a good menu from which to choose your evening meal. Friendly staff will attend to all your needs during your stay.

I went to the Bloomfield House Hotel last weekend for a relaxing break with my husband. The hotel is lovely, decorated in a traditional style throughout which matches the beautiful surroundings. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The location is beautiful, beside the lake and surrounded by mature trees. It is situated in the countryside only a short drive from Mullingar town, which is a nice town with plenty of shops and a few bars and restaurants and the dog track. The staff were incredibly friendly at the hotel, helpful and extremely welcoming. They made the stay even more enjoyable. The only minor downside was the restaurant, which we felt was a bit dated, unlike the rest of the hotel and the menu wasn't great (although not bad either), however, we still enjoyed the meal we had there. The bar on the other hand, like the rest of the hotel was lovely, with 2 gas fires and huge windows over looking the lake, perfect for an autum getaway. The hotel has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I'm usually a "never go to the same place twice" person, but I will definitley be back!

I stayed three nights when I was going to a wedding in a remote place. I thought it was all great. Staff very friendly . I even had mislaid my phone and they checked out my my phone contacts to find me to get my phone back to me. They all spoke my language and could identify with me going to a wedding (even when I arrived back at 6 , just a bit too early perhaps for breakfast!). I'd go back again.

My husband and I stayed in Bloomfield from Friday evening to Sunday morning. We take a weekend away every year to mark our anniversary and have stayed in quite a few hotels. Bloomfield has so far been the best. We had NO fault whatsoever. Everything was top class, from the food in the Restaurant, the comfort in the bedroom, the pool, Steam-room and Sauna were great. The decor everywhere was lovely. The grounds outside were very well kept, a lovely walk down to the lake. The staff were sooo lovely, all very well mannered and so polite and helpful. Especially appealing to us was the location, it was so peaceful being out in the countryside.

During our recent stay my wife and i were blown away by the high standards at this hotel. The food was to die for! The setting, scenery and hotel facilities are exceptional. A totally relaxed atmosphere where you can simply sit back and be pampered. Most of all we were delighted by the quality of the staff. Whether it was at the reception, the bar or in the restaurant the level of service and attention to detail and customer needs is absolutely remarkable! The staff are a credit to the hotel and we will certainly be sampling such luxury in all respects in the near future.

We stayed at The Bloomfield House Hotel for three weeknights, dinner, bed and breakfast. The staff were lovely, the grounds were lovely, the view of the lake from our room was beautiful. The food was second to none with a good choice.I have been to other 4 star hotels but compared to this, well if there was a 6 star Bloomfield would get it. When we arrived we were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble without being over the top. Thank you very much Bloomfield, we shall definately be back..

Room Tip: Ask for a Lake view - very peaceful.

A girls weekend away brought us to Bloomfield House Hotel. We stayed for lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and professional with the exception of one member of the bar staff who was a bit grumpy. The bar is bright, modern and clean and was busy with carvery lunches. The sandwiches were good but some of the hot food was a little disappointing. The evening meal, however, surpassed our expectations. Service was excellent, the presentation was beautiful and all dishes were flavoursome and a delight to the senses. The rooms were basic enough but tea, coffee and biscuits were provided. The beds were very comfortable.
The hotel is in a beautiful setting and we were lucky enough to be able to take a stroll down to the lake and sit outside enjoying the scenery.
On Saturday night there was music in the bar. The musician played trumpet and tin whistle and sang a variety of songs to please all age groups. On the night in question there was a birthday party being celebrated and there was lots of dancing and craic.
Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and great flavours.
Overall it was a most enjoyable trip and a good choice for a friends get-together. It's not the most modern of hotels but the food and service were excellent and we were very happy with value for money
