“Great place for a day out”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

We went yesterday on a lovely bright and warm Saturday. We arrived early so fro about the 1st hour we practically had the garden for ourself. The Surrounding is lovely. We had a nice stroll in the walled garden and took the full trail around the park. Apart from the main pick-nick spot at the lake there is a more remote place in the woods with an amazing view over the lake.
Entrance is a bit pricey but you can spend the full day in lovely surroundings.

“My favourite place in Ireland. I have driven from Kells almost every weekend for a year to use our family ticket. So worth it.”
Reviewed June 4, 2013 via mobile

We got full use of our family ticket for about 4 years. Its the most beautiful place in the Midlands. Perfect for young kids in prams or just starting to walk. It has a 5 km forest walk plus lake, house, secret gardens. There is always an event from scruffs dog show for the not so groomed dog's to carnivals. The cafe is so lovely. Only criticism is that they changed the supplier for café in the last year or so, its noticeably more expensive and not as nice. But you can bring a picnic to avoid the cost. I can't recommend Belevedere House highly enough. Check it out.

“Refreshing family day out”
Reviewed June 2, 2013 via mobile

We went as a group if 8, kids and adults.
The kids spied the play area as soon as they arrived and happily played there while we ordered lunch. We entered into the main stone bulit area which has an eclectic mix of period and modern furnishings.
I expected basic fare for lunch but was delighted to see a modern swish deli restaurent with a large comprehensive menu. Service was prompt and courteous.
We then walked through the large grounds which although neglected host a variety of interesting trees and planted borders. The house is open to the public and details the colourful lives of its inhabitants. The views of the lake are stunning. It's a precious gem for the area!

“ladies club outing”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

Our Ladies Society visited yesterday and had a tour of the house by Mary, one of the guides. Mary was really excellent and knew the history of the house and its' occupants so well and made it all sound really interesting. I would highly recommend a visit to Belvedere House and gardens.
