“Beautiful restored cottage”

I stayed in this beautiful cottage for new years with 6 other people. The house is well spaced, new, very warm and has a well-stocked kitchen. The owners are very facilitating and helpful, they left us wood and coal for lighting the fire/stove and they were flexible about arrival/departure times. Would highly recommend for any group and definitely stay here again!

“Fantastic property”

This cottage has been lovingly restored and fitted out to a very high standard. The owners (who incidentally are great to deal with) are justifiably proud of their property which is located just a few minutes drive from Dromineer on the side of Lough Derg. A beautifully peaceful rural location. If you are looking for an extremely comfortable property (at any time of the year - big log burning stove in the lounge/kitchen) then look no further. Highly recommended.

“The Dairy Cottage - Stunning cottage in an idyllic location”
Reviewed August 20, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Our small family stayed at The Dairy Cottage for 3 mid week nights in August whilst visiting family and from the moment we arrived it was an excellent experience. We were given a very warm welcome by the owner, who showed us round the beautiful cottage. There was home made bread for us as well as a freshly baked Tart! Once left to fend for ourselves we found the cottage to be beautiful, finished to a very high standard, with everything you could need. It was like we were the first guests, very clean and fresh with hugely comfortable beds and stunning views from the patio. Our children loved the cows and the safe and private space around the house. Pocan is a lovely village and a visit to Kennedys for live music is a must do! We would definitely recommend over any 5 star hotel and will definitely be coming back.

“Couldn t have asked for more”
Reviewed August 3, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

It was simply amazing. We were given the directions by Sheila prior to our arrival and arrived on the spot by our GPS. We were greeted by Michael who made us feel so welcome and at home. We found a house full of amenities required with a terrace overlooking fields. The cottage is big enough that 7 of us had enough space to move around and is very comfortable. It is situated very central so we found it very easy to visit lots of interesting places. We really recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to relax from the city chaos as it is very peaceful and Sheila and Michael were great host. Thanks for making our holiday a memorable one.

“A stunning retreat!”

Our stay at the dairy cottage was first class. Shelia and Mick went above and beyond satisfying our every request. From getting the bbq up and running for us to calling our taxis, they couldn't have made us feel anymore welcome yet still allowing us the peace and quiet that the cottage inspires.

I would definitely recommend this rental for a family or couple looking to escape the city and relax overlooking the beautiful Lough Derg. Hopefully we'll be back soon too!

“The Dairy Cottage was perfect for our little family!”

The Dairy Cottage was perfect for our little family! It was beautifully decorated and very spacious. Our daughters (5 yrs & 2 yrs old) loved running around outside in the large yard and were thrilled when the cows came up to the fence.

Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Sheila's mother and felt right at home instantly. She even made sure we had eggs, homemade bread with jam, and milk. Sheila was just as friendly as her mother and made great recommendations for the local area. During our week long stay we were able to get out and about, exploring all over Ireland. We also enjoyed relaxing at the cottage in the evenings. I would definitely recommend this rental to friends or anyone travelling to Ireland.

“Beautiful cottage & stunning views”
Reviewed April 13, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We had a lovely stay at the Dairy Cottage and were made very welcome by Sheila and her husband Michael. The cottage has been renovated and decorated by the couple and feels really homely. The Dairy Cottage is in a great location to visit Lough Derg and the Sliver Mountains as well as being close to Nenagh and Borrisokane.

We will definitely stay again next time we are in Ireland and we have already recommended the cottage to friends!
