Brian. Many thanks for your hospitality. As far as star ratings go Val and I would award you a 5+ because we'd never experienced such a friendly, well-run establishment before, and the food was second to none also. Even the two dogs were friendly! We wouldn't hesitate in returning on another visit. Nenagh is a lovely and historic town with plenty to do and see and it's clear from conversations that you are well informed about it. A pity your wife was away but maybe next time we see you she'll be there.
Well done Brian and we wish you long life and happiness.

Room Tip: All rooms are individual in their character but equally as confortable and homely. Don't hesitat...

Thank you so much for your kind review. It was very nice meeting you both and I have no doubt Mary will be sorry she missed meeting you. So glad you enjoyed your stay here and Nenagh is one of those gems that has great history to it, great food cafes and restaurants and also offers some great quality and selection of shops in and around the town centre. So delighted to hear you will be returning and as it is approaching year end shortly, wish you all the best for Christmas season and into 2013. Regards Brian

We hadn't booked as we weren't sure we'd reach Nenagh that day. But we did make it by late afternoon and rang Mary and Brian from outside their gate. Lucky for us, not only was there room at the inn, but we were able to spend three nights at Williamsferry - warm, happy and well fed (love the veggie patch).
An added  delight was Mary and Brian's interest in local and family history, with reference books, tips and links of great interest and help. Mary's artwork and Brian's attention to culinary detail, and the extra cuppas, also made our stay most enjoyable and memorable.

Lovely to hear from you and it was really enjoyable to meet you both. Know you greatly enjoyed your trips to Terryglass as you traced the the ancestral trail and also enjoyed the local food stops out there. We were more than happy to share the range of local knowledge and booklets we have - all part of the service as are the complimentary refreshments. The vegetable plot is Brian delight as it allows him some fresh veg and fruits straight from the garden (when in season) for his daily cooking here. So thank you for your lovely comments which are much appreciated. All the best to you both. Mary and Brian

Very nice, welcoming place with comfortable beds.
Except for a forgotten cigarette butt in the toilet everything looked clean in the bedroom.
And maybe some walls seems a little bit fine but the windows are thick. In the end I could sleep without noise.

We appreciate your review and our aim is to maintain our 4 star quality accommodation so thank you for your feedback which we take on board. We have a No Smoking policy in the house and this incident is unacceptable even on our terms so we can assure it will not happen again. Otherwise glad you enjoyed your stay with us and had a good nights sleep after your long (10 hr) walking trail before you returned to France. We thank you for your recommendation to others to stay at Williamsferry. Best regards to you all. Mary & Brian

Another very pleasant stay, great Food and good company..
Comfy rooms and wifi a bonus as are the local history books and this time we did a tour of nenagh organised for us by Brian and mary.. And recommended by us as we learnt a fair bit about the local history from a local historian and very reasonably priced.

Glad you enjoyed another return visit to Williamsferry. Kevin Whelan who is the local guide brings Nenagh to life in bygone times along with escorting visitors to the top of Nenagh Castle. Just to let you know also there is a great clip on - North Tipperary Genealogy - You tube which shows local Genealogist showing people how their ancestors can be traced back to the area of North Tipperary. So thank you again for your kind review and we hope to see you on a return journey next year. All the best in the meantime. Brian and Mary

We really enjoyed our night at williamsferry house - really nice hosts who went out of their way to help us - recommending somewhere to eat and even dropping us off there! The location is very handy for nenagh and the rooms clean and comfortable with a nice garden and very nice breakfast. I would definitely recommend Williamsferry house to anyone wanting to stay in nenagh and it was also very reasonably priced.

A great place to recharge your mind and soul while being offered a very comfortable room and excellent hospitality. The hosts Mary and Brian have a genuine interest in ensuring your stay is pleasurable; travel information, delightful cooking, and in my case a wealth of hints for genealogical fact finding. Highly recommended

Thank you for your kind comments. Many people have mentioned that Williamsferry has been their home away from home and glad you found it welcoming also. We like to ensure that each of our guests feel it is a place they would like to return to. We enjoy sharing local knowledge from local genealogy and history of Nenagh books, to places of interest and activities in the area.
Thank you again and kind regards. Mary & Brian
