Sat outside on the hottest day in June, soaking up the sun, drinking iced drinks, eating fabulous food, cooked perfectly....served by a great team of excellent staff, who could not have been more helpful, friendly and polite!

Have eaten here a few times over the years...and have never had a bad meal here.

Can't really ask for more can you!

We arrived late in the evening the weather was cold, wet and the ocean was wild, but The Strand was warm and welcoming. With an open fire, live music and Guiness flowing we indulged with a beautiful meal. The locals were friendly and we had a great night.

Nice pub, we stopped for lunch and a pint on a busy Saturday afternoon, it was a nice day so a lot of people in that little area. Food was good and outdoor tables a short ways from the beach.

As i've wrote before this is a superb pub, but only recently did we try the pizza here. It was great, well priced, tasty, thin & crispy base as it should be! We'll definitely be back for more!!

It was a lovely day when we visited and we sat outside. We had just climbed Knocknarea and were in need of food and alcohol! We ate the best fish and chips I've tasted for a very long time (and I'm from the UK!). My son-in-law had seafood chowder which was also delicious. The service was also excellent, friendly and efficient. I intend to return to the area later in the year and will definitely be back!
