The entire Fayetteville Square, built around the old post office, is heavily cultivated on all sides and includes numerous places to sit and relax, water features, and more, but the time to really enjoy the area is on the mornings that the Farmer's Market is open. There are usually at least 40-50 farmers and crafters bringing all sorts of fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, sometimes local meat, and other items for sale. Local musicians often perform, and it's a popular place for locals to come with kids, walk dogs, shop, and socialize.
Nearby coffee shops, breakfast options, and lots of shade make it comfortable even in the hottest parts of the summer.
